We loved our stay at Pehuenia Hostel. The key element is the staff. The hosts are so nice, very warm and friendly people. We had dinner with their family and they were kind enough to prepare a special drink for us when we were sick and offer us lifts around town when it fit in with their travels. Hostel was always warm and it is easy to meet people. Highly recommended!

Leo is the man! Had a great time staying at Hostel 41 Below, a great place to relax and meet people. The location is perfect: at least five pubs within three blocks serve local craft beer on tap. It is two blocks from the tourist information office and right in the heart of the city. The hospitality put on by Leo is fantastic. He´s a good guy, always happy to help out and share local knowledge. If I could suggest one thing to improve, the internet was often slow. Otherwise awesome!

We enjoyed our stay here. The hostel has a laidback feel to it. We had issues with the dorm beds though, the bed frames are poorly constructed and make a lot of noise. The hostel can also get cold as it does not get a lot of sun, however the roof top area is nice. Staff were nice but it was often confusing to work out who was actually working there.

A cool spot! Really enjoyed our stay at the hostel. Staff are great, very happy to help and the cheap cocktails are rad. Definitely check it out. Our strategy was to stay in different hostels to explore different parts of Rio, we would recommend Lisetonga for Copacobana.

Disappointed with having only one very small kitchen. Common room too dark, does not feel welcoming. Room had a mosquito problem which meant we did not got a good nights sleep.

Run down hostel, unclean, thin walls and almost impossible to sleep through the night due to the noise created by other visitors. Won't stay again.
