I don't know what the dorms were like, but the private room I had was perfect. The couple that own it are lovely and friendly and helpful, and I felt really at home. It was really sad to leave!

Could do with some more bathrooms (it's VERY annoying if you have the room in the garden...) and it is a little bit expensive, but the lovely staff somewhat make up for it, and the activities put on are just the right medium between social but not too 'forced'...

It's a bit pricey but the building is so beautiful, and the dorms so spacey and comfortable it's worth it if you can afford it! The bathrooms are really nice too, and all the staff were lovely

I would not recommend this hostel. The room was very hot, had no windows, and an adjacent bathroom that just made it much much hotter. The shower had no curtain, which made a big mess, and the dorm was extremely cramped. The kitchen was full of flies and very poorly equipped - about 2 forks! Nothing to light the gas with and, if you asked for a lighter at reception, you had to bring it straight back. Staff seem really keen to sell you tours and taxi rather than give you proper advice.

The people that worked here were very very helpful and friendly, and the dorm was much more spacious than many other hostels. However, the breakfast is pretty bad (papery bread and jam), and I was told I wasn't allowed to lock the door when I was in the room... Which struck me as rather odd...
we said to her, she keep the door unlocked when she is in the room because the other roommates could not enter to the room if she was enclosed all the time, because there is one key per room.

You do have to pay for absolutely everything extra - which can seem a bit cheeky as, being in the middle of nowhere, you don't have many other options... However, if you have the money, it's a great place to stay as Miguel and Monica really make you feel at home... (and the dogs are wonderful!) I would definitely recommend!

There are no locks on the dorm doors, the staff at reception were very unfriendly. The reception was really loud, which is an issue if your room is next door to it... There were no windows in the room, and it was very very damp. The light in the bathroom did not work. The breakfast is alright though.
We will consider your comment. The humidity is very common on this city. That's why we have A / C with "DRY" option. As for security, shared rooms do not have keys. That's why under every bed there are lockers where you can store your luggage. We sorry to read that you think we been very unfriendly, because is not what the other travelers think about us. Cheers! have a noce trip! Pablo

I stayed both in a private room for a week, and then a night in a dorm. The private room was amazing value for money, but the dorm a bit less so - it was very cramped for four people. However, the staff were amazing and made me feel really at home, helping me with everything I needed. The common area is really good too, as is the breakfast. I would recommend!

The room was very small, but more than made up for my the hospitality and kindness of the owners! A wonderful place to stay!

The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. The common area and facilities were a bit small for the number of people staying there, but it wasn't really much of a problem!
