Location is good and staff are friendly and helpful. However the place seriously lack shower facilities and existing ones are not fit for purpose. The male shower room on the first floor had no internal locks so anyone can barge in while you are having a wash. There is no bin in the room I stayed so rubbish had to be left in a shopping bag someone before me left behind. I had a triple bunk bed, and the bottom bunk is almost on the floor. Alright for a one-night stay for the price but not longer.

Hi and thanks for the review. Thanks for giving out location top marks. We don’t have bins in the rooms to prevent smells and we instead keep them outside. The main door for the shower block cannot be locked so other guests can get in :) Curtains are provided for privacy. We always encourage guests to come to reception with any minor issues as per your bed allocation. We can quickly change you to another bed or dorm.

Stayed here a few times and always a good option that is reasonably priced compared to the surrounding area. Not the most modern facilities but kept clean and tidy, friendly staff and a fairly convenient location for transport.

A lovely place to stay. Staff were friendly and welcoming, and mix with the guests all the time. Free food (pasta, etc) if you were suddenly caught short on that front. Location-wise only 3 minutes' walk from Botanic station and in the heart of the action at night. Although certain facilities could do with a little bit of renovation, it was obvious that care was taken in decorating and equipping the place and a lot of thoughts went into it. It was quite obvious why it won multiple awards.

The hostel is in a convenient location - right next to the bus station and a few minutes' walk from the railway station. Staff are friendly and helpful. I was impressed with the cleanliness of the toilets which were spotless and smelt fresh. Likewise with the beddings. The WiFi was sporadic in the top-floor room I was at on the first day, presumably due to too many users, but on the quieter second day was much more reliable. Overall a good place to stay.

The place smells of weed when you get past the door leading to the stairs. Probably fine for a stopover of one night but not recommended for longer stays. Staff at reception are fine, however someone in my room reported a blocked toilet and staff came up at 2am with no consideration for people who are already asleep, turned the lights full on, and then left without attempting to fix the toilet or turning them off after a few minutes.

A very busy place. It was a popular place with travellers from all around the world and offers a great opportunity to talk to people from all over the world. The staff are friendly and were happy to mix in with the guests in the evening. Just outside the heart of the city although is only a short walk away. Highly recommended.

This place is clean and well-organised. However one flaw is that there are too few toilets for the number of guests. Otherwise it is a wonderful place to stay and is very convenient.

Excellent stay for a reasonable price. Very warm/helpful staff, including the owner himself if you happen to email him. Excellent location with the beach front a stone\'s throw away. Close to bars/clubs and shops are literally on the door step. Great place to meet people too and there is wi-fi available even in individual rooms though the signals were weaker there. No hidden charges or lockouts unlike some other places. Best place I\'ve stayed. Highly recommended. Would definitely come back again.

Not the cleanest of the places although the housekeepers worked quite hard and were polite. The rooms need renovating and facilities were fairly dated compared to many other places. Location is good and staff are generally helpful. It's a fine place for a short stay but if your interest is centred more along the Seine bank, there are better and more central options for the same price. However it does not close during the day and I was able to check in in the morning so that's a good thing.

You really get your money\'s worth here. Easy 2 find from main train station. Very clean compared 2 other places. Staff r helpful. Manager was courteous when we had 2 move 2 another room as some maintenance work was carried out. Free internet was bonus although some machines kept breaking down. The cleaner\'s efficient & polite. Was also helpful on leaving day with luggage storage & offered internet/shower/toilet facilities even after checking out. Great experience will definitely come back.

Very high standard considering the price. Dorm rooms are cleaned daily and the housekeeper's very considerate. Great location just 50 yards off St Charles station. Cheap internet access compared to elsewhere in France. Friendly staff, fun crowd, easy to make new friends, no lock-out and no curfew. Excellent place to stay. Would definitely come back again and recommend.

Highly unprofessional. Took the wrong booking and refused to accept their mistake. Staff unwilling to help apart from saying that there was nothing they could do even though there were still vacancies when arrived. Hostel cancelled booking wrongly and consequently I had to fork out 40 a night at a grubby hotel nearby. Not a nice part of Paris to live either and would not come back again despite being cheap.

Not an option if you prefer a quiet lie-in. Rue Mouffetard is a busy party area & gets very loud esp during the weekends. For the price it offers good facilities & the showers are very strong. Could do with few more loos though as there were only 2 in the main block with over 100 guests. Supermarket and street markets literally next door and a young crowd. Easy to make friends and helpful staff. High on my list if coming back Paris next time. Conveniently located for getting out and about.
