The only thing that annoyed me was the top bed is never made when you arrive so you have to make it and touch the mattress underneath. (maybe the cleaner could have a step platform or easier steps that go up to the bed like in hong kong) Good place to stay definitely, been here 2x now

Hi guest, Thank your for the great rating! We are aware of the problem with the bunk beds - unfortunately our housekeeping company doesn't allow the making of the top bunks due to health&safety reasons :( but we're are working hard on a solution (and will get new mattresses, duvets and pillows soon!). See you soon! Your Meininger Team

This is my 2nd time staying here, though after the first stay i thought i'd try and stay near avenue of stars instead for a week and then a week at this hostel. This one is far better than that other hostel which seems to be higher up on the rating points. This hostel i like more because it has professional staff, the clients tend to be more sensible and cultured, i.e you won't see Cliques forming, just friendly people and less noisy at night. Love the staff as well even remembered me again.

I've stayed here 3 times in 1 month. I absolutely love it. The staff are very professional an also warm hearted. There is a big lounge and kitchen area. The beds in the picture don't do it justice, the bottom bed isn't on the floor but on a sturdy wooden platform. The bed frames are strong and comfortable. There's Two Plug Sockets on each bed which is great.

Apart from the female member of staff at night who sort of looked annoyed and placed my 2nd cup of water at the other side of the desk because i asked for a 2nd one if possible as the cup was so tiny. It was good. On floor 6 was a noise that started about 6am like a motorbike starting up over and over every 10 seconds but stopped on sunday and monday so i'm not sure what that was, it was near the lift anyway. Internet didn't really work on the 6th floor or the ground floor but did on the 1st.

The Aircon in the main mixed beds was quite noisy (not the normal air blowing but a slight vibrating sound) but they say they've looked into it now although i can't verify that. Girls room is accessed by walking through the mixed dorm. It's good for location to the east coast park if that's what you're after and there's a lot less traffic which is good as it's hard to find nice open space in singapore

It is the best hostel to stay out (stayed at many) But little things annoyed me: Sign on washing machine saying: recommended setting - quick wash (that's ok but) the owner saw my washing on long wash and said cheerily that oh its too long and changed it to rapid 10 min wash...no way i could...so ok he let me do another quick wash cycle and i said to him to change the label to definitly say quick wash. Everything else perfect family very friendly.

I thought that it would be a nice place to stay and that I would at least get more sleep with only 3 beds in a dorm. I was very wrong. The Cleaners have 6 foot high Crate Trolley's/Cages They pull the cage and drag sideways creating so much noise. Even just pulling normally it's very noisy. Slamming the cage doors, slamming bedroom doors, talking really loud so that you can hear them upstairs with the door shut. lots of noise also at night until about 12am sometimes more if there's a party going on

I spent time in 2 hostels 2 years ago, and this one is just as good as the bee hive except that it's not got free breakfast, but it's only 2.80 with unlimited tea, coffee. Compared to the place I stayed after this hostel which was called costa sands, it's much quieter at tressor, so you can get sleep. I thought it would be the opposite having paid £25 to go to costa sands so I should have stayed here really but weekend was booked up.
