amazing location (couple of mins walk from cent station), amazing views over the water at night, brilliant staff (so friendly), near unbeatable value for money (single rooms from around 25 euros). all positives. is very basic, and small rooms, but if you are ok with that, then you are laughing. walls were thin too, so make sure you are well and truelly anethetised before going to sleep, so that all the young'uns coming and going and giggling all night dont keep you up. overall, enjoyed my stay.
We had an amazing time here. Rooms are small, and you can here other guests coming and going, but its a boat, that is to be expected. Wonderfull hosts, perfect location, the outside decking area is perfect in the evening to relax on and look at the city. highly recommended. (
the staff were excellent, really made us feel welcome. the location was perfect, and the rooms were clean and perfectly acceptable for the price. the communal kitchen has everyhting you need utensil wise (much better than some hostels) and the bathrooms were clean too. a really pleasant stay, thankyou!

located on the quiet end of a major party road, happy hour deals are great for guests, the food was suprisgly decent, the recepetion staff were really nice, the bar has a great atmosphere in the evenings, the bar has spliff freindly smoking area too, the private room decorations are mental/trippy, hot water works well, comfy beds. etc. etc... definatly a young(at heart) persons hotel, but if thats your thing, then you cant do wrong with St. christophers
Amazing location , wonderfull helpfull staff, no curfew, decent en suite, freshly fried eggs with the standard cont. breakfast and a nice big resident dog. all this for the same price per head, as some dormitory beds in other hostels. very very recommmended, would stay here again.
we love the crooked house. the basic feel of the studio room, is more than made up for by its price, its location and the very kind lady \'zora\' who owns it. situated in a pretty and quiet street, you are really close to albert cuyp, de pijp, and 15 minutes walk to rembrandstplein and leidseplein. you have bars, coffeeshops and resturants all within a minute or twos walk. Zora the owner, is exceptionally friendly and will make you feel at home. theres a tv, kitchenette and a nice hot shower too.
Truelly excellent hostel. Lovely building, right in the best area of Buenos Aires, San Telmo. A quiet atmosphere attracts an older crowd, and couples too. walking distance to steakhouses, bars and the fantastic sunday fair/market. security is in the form of buzzer doors on 24hr manned reception. breakfast was decent enough (you will never have a good breakfast in Argentina!! ha ha) i would 100% use this hostel again when back in Buenos Aires.
We had a really enjoyable, clean & comfy stay, in a decent area. They put on a wicked BBQ & helped us whenever we needed it.
the owner scott, was very friendly and helpfull, gave us really good tips on pancakes for sale in a farm opposite and was always happy to see you. there was a nice quiet atmosphere throughout, rooms were clean and comfy, and the kitchen was well stocked with utensils and cooking equipment. there was even free oil, butter milk, salt etc. very good! i would recommend this place if you are heading to the airport. its too far out of center for nightlife, but great for transfers etc
the location is excellent. 5 minutes in one direction is the city centre, and 2 minutes in the other direction is a park. dorm rooms clean, and plenty of information/activities available from reception. this place does attract the usual 18-21 year old backpacker crowd.
very centrally located. very good communal areas with kitchens etc. the bathrooms are kept clean too. we stayed a week in total, and saw every type of back packer staying here. from party hard rugby teams, to precious pseudo hippies. what it lacks in character it makes up for in location. backpacker recommended.
