There are a lot of long-stayers, which is not always best for the atmosphere for people who are traveling and settling in Toronto. There are not enough extra (non ensuite) toilets/showers on the floor, so if anybody is using the ensuite bathroom, you will have to wait.

Stayed here for the second time, because it is one of the best options in LA/santa monica. Beds are quite comfy (compared to other hostels) and the atmosphere is mostly good to excellent. I didn't like that using the computers is sooo expensive, considering that the stays are already expensive. Also the price mentioned in hostelworld is excluding taxes and if you're not a HI member you will have to pay extra too, so the stay is even more expensive than at first look.

Suzie is a lovely person, but the hostel is just not 'my cup of tea'. The atmosphere is nice with a lot of independent travelers, but for me personally the service is too relaxed. You can't do your own laundry, but they can do it for you, however it might take 3 days or more. This place is a home stay, which also means you are part of the family, but also that you can't expect the service of a hostel. They also have a lot of pets, which might be difficult for people with allergies.

Staff was ok but not very enthusiastic. Food was good and rooms are spacious. However you can't control the airconditioning and the shower/bathroom facilities are not great and there are not a lot of them. Swimming pool doesn't look to clean, i didn't want to swim in it. Wifi was available. Close to pickup point for the yasawa flyer.

The 4 bed dorm i stayed in was very small, with little room to put your bags. Kitchen is also too small for the amount of people. The location is very good and i loved the old building it is in. Beds were very squeeky.

The most ineffective toilets ever (ineffective next to inefficient). Showers were good (good waterpressure and temperature). Facilities were clean in the morning, but in the evening not so much. Beds were not that comfy (i had an old mattress). Staff was just average (not bad, but nothing out of the ordinary).

The kitchen is too small, considering there are no cheap meals available. Cleaning made a mistake, cleared my bed and threw away my bottle and (just new bought) magazine, misplaced my own towels and put my recharger in the lost

Very good location, but since the subway works exellent in NY, you should ask yourself whether it's worth paying so much money, because I feel that is mostly what you pay for. You don't get breakfast but internet is free and the beds are exellent.

Very expensive for what you get. I guess you mostly pay for the location, which might not be necessary to be at, because the subway works excellent in NY. Very small and only 1 bathroom for 14 or 16 people. No breakfast, no kitchen, but free internet, everything is clean and friendly (but not very knowledgeable) staff.

this is times square center area, if just want cheap, you can stay in queens or brookln, they have kitchen, offer breakfast ,and cheaper as well. do that, we will appreciate that.

Decent hostel, not near to any touristy things, but the subway works well, so that's not really a problem. Everything is clean and new. Only happy/friendly/more outgoing staff was kind of missing.

Safe location in LA. Privacy and cleanliness in bathrooms is liveable but could be a bit better. Great staff and lots of activities (either organized by the hostel or you can book them next door). Best hostel i stayed in in the US (but not the best worldwide)

Nice hostel at a nice location. The showers are not the best, as temperatures can change all of a sudden and water on the shower floor doens't get away quick enough.

The staff was not the most trained, but they go out of their way to help you. The 4th flour however was not clean at all. Some toilets were permanently closed for no apparent reason and one of the available toilets was missing toiletpaper for over 48 hours. Kitchen was really small.

The hostel by itself is very nice, however the location is not very great, especially in winter, when you don't want to go to the beach anyway.

It's got a good vibe, but it could be a little bit cleaner. They've got a lot of rules (eg no shoe upstairs and no bags near beds). And althoughh I understand why, sometimes it's anoying.

Nice place, but in some rooms it's a bit smelly, probably the airconditioning? And is't missing a kitchen area. Apart from that a very good hostel.
