Sleep in Heaven

Copenhagen, Denmark

Had a great stay here - the neighbourhood is a great one to be situated in, and it's on a quiet street so no drunks late at night. I wasn't staying there long enough for the lack of a kitchen to really be an issue, but they do let you keep food in their kitchen area and to use their utensils etc. The breakfast was pretty basic (cereal/muesli, juice, & coffee, buns with cheese and sliced meat of 10DK) but served its purpose; the hours could be extended, though, as could the check-out times.

Good atmosphere! Lovely people. I slept well here. A good, cheap place to stay, located barely ten minutes walk from Museum Island, but not a very interesting neighbourhood beyond that. One of our bathrooms flooded reliably every morning, and staff could be a bit more responsive in terms of cleaning. The breakfast was fairly priced for what you got, the bar and lounge area was great, even if the internet kept cutting out. Other than the problem with the bathrooms the place is worth the stay.

Lotte - The Backpackers

Very cute and family-friendly place (I don't have kids, but others did - they seemed to get along pretty well). Great location, clean and nicely-decorated. The ground-floor room I was staying in had a bit of foot-traffic noise late at night, as well as from delivery trucks, but mostly quiet apart from that. Bathrooms were located upstairs, though, so if you're downstairs it's a bit of a pain, but they're clean! They have women-only dorms, but not advertised on HW, for some reason.
