Beautiful renovated kasbah with amazing rooms, grounds and a great location in the oasis. Strange customer service - always felt like the manager was waiting for us, but in a very awkward way, creating total lack of privacy. Booked us on the wrong bus and ended up in a totally wrong location. Were only guests at the time, and it felt like we were very obvious, it was uncomfortable. The meal was very overpriced for what was offered, tajine was good, but side dish was lame, and 'dessert' a banana.
Absolutely exquisite hotel in an amazing location. Every window in our room looked out on the canal. It didn't feel like we were staying in a hotel, just a couple of rooms in a residential apartment block. Only a couple of other guests so making it feel very private and homely. Close to all the major sights but set back on the side streets so doesn't feel like you're right in the middle of tourism. Set on a gondola canal so you get serenaded in the morning. Boring typical Italian breakfast.
Clean hostel with a convenient location. We booked a private room with a separate private bathroom. A bit inconvenient but fine. Hostel seemed to fit Berlin - barren, lifeless, clean, sterile. Rooms were a bit like a cell and very un-atmospheric and badly laid out. But after a big night out in the techno clubs, the barren feeling in some strange way added to the intense desolation (but wonderfulness!) of Berlin! Pillows were really bad and kitchen was very under-equipped. Bad WiFI reception.
Really beautiful hostel, rooms and outside courtyard. The kitchen was really good and very well equipped. We stayed in the loft private double and it was very tastefully done. The location is a bit out of the old quarter of town so it is a bit of a distance if you want to walk (but still doable). But it is conveniently located on the tram lines. Many grocery shops nearby.
