Brilliant hostel in great location near metro. Staff are always very friendly and helpful, and make your visit personalised and help you with any information you need. Personal lockers in rooms for keeping valuables safe. Would definitely stay here again on my next visit to Beijing.

KEX Hostel

Reykjavik, Iceland

Located on the sea, it had excellent views across the bay. The dorm room was spacious, and I was lucky to have a whole 10-bed dorm to myself when I stayed. The kitchen is very large with good facilities. The only annoying thing is that you have to pay significantly extra for a duvet, which I didn't, and was freezing!

Smile Hostel

This hostel lost my booking, so after spending several hours on the train, was left standing by the door for more than half an hour waiting for the receptionist to at first realise that due to an "admin error" my booking had been lost and my bed resold to someone else and were fully booked. It took ages for them to sort another hostel for me to stay in, which had a lot more beds in it than the room I booked here so definitely lost out on price and didn't get a decent night's sleep. Unreliable.

Wang Fat Hostel

Hong Kong, Hong Kong

This is the 2nd time I've stayed in this hostel because the location is excellent in Causeway Bay on HK island, about 2 minutes walk from the metro. The dorm rooms are definitely not amongst the cleanest I've seen, particularly the bathroom, and it seemed Easter made the prices fairly expensive this time, but if like me while in HK you only want somewhere to sleep, then this is great.

SeeYou Hostel

Vladivostok, Russia

The hostel was located slightly out of town, but was very easy to reach with the bus connection, and had beautiful views across the sea on either side. Yuri was very welcoming and friendly, and always went out of his way to help. I would definitely stay here again next time I'm in Vladivostok.

The New York Loft Hostel

New York, USA

Huge rooms with plenty of space which meant that even though there were a lot of beds in the dorms you didn't feel crowded. Good location near to Morgan Avenue subway station which is about 15 minutes away from Manhatten. The breakfast is huge and there's a friendly atmosphere in the hostel, would definitely stay here again.

City Centre Tourist Hostel

Edinburgh, Scotland
57%

Excellent location, nice kitchen, friendly staff. Only one working shower which was also a bit rubbish. Didn\'t stay the night as was just waiting for a late coach after travelling from elsewhere and wanted a shower. Don\'t think I would\'ve wanted to sleep in those beds, although might be ok for one night for the price.

Edinburgh Nights Hostel

Good location, although quite a walk from the stations with heavy luggage. Very friendly and helpful staff and nice common room and kitchen, although quite small. The rooms were a bit cramped, but ok for a few nights.

Euro Hostel Glasgow

Seems to have improved since the last time I stayed a few years ago. Dorms were spacious and clean and the beds very comfortable and nice breakfast of cereal and toast. Convenient for the city centre. Only gripe is having to pay £1 per bag to leave luggage there after checkout, especially as I only wanted to leave it for 1 hour.

Hostel Possonium

Bratislava, Slovakia

Hostel has themed rooms of different countries which were fairly clean and nice. Had to queue for quite a while for showers as there were only a couple on each floor. Near to train station and airport bus, but 15 mins to town. Second night was woken by an extremely loud group of men who shouted for over an hour at about 3am, but I suppose you can\'t help who else is in the dorm, although it would\'ve been nice if the staff had told them to be quiet, especially as the room was next door to recept

Crib 15

This was one of the best hostels I've stayed in and a bargain for the price. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the rooms were nice and the common area was spacious and attractive. The only downside was the kitchen was a little small with only a couple of hobs to cook on, but fine for a few days. I will definitely be staying at this hostel again in the future.

Litton Lane Hostel

Have stayed here twice. Excellent location, very friendly and helpful staff and nice atmosphere. The showers could do with some privacy and the sheets are covered in hairs, but good for the money.

Pisa Tower

Pisa, Italy

Nice location in central Pisa, but is above a piazza that gets very noisy at night so couldn\'t get much sleep here. The rooms are very cramped and the walls are paper thin so could hear the extremely loud conversation in the room next door all night long. Staff were very friendly. OK for 1 night but couldn\'t see myself staying here for any longer than that.

Stayed in an en-suite room which was nice with lockers under your bed for storage, but you need to bring your own padlock. There\'s no kitchen, but otherwise great hostel, have stayed twice.
