Dave runs the place. He is a bit strict, but very fair and accommodating. He drove me into town and to the bus stop in his own car. He cooked an amazing braai (one night just because there were a bunch of people who were leaving South Africa the next day and had not experienced a proper braai. The day trips were awesome

The guys who run this hostel, Philippe, Jurgen, Alex and Joao and excellent. They are so passionate about Lisbon and Portugal and it really shows. This hostel is very clean and they have the best breakfast I have ever seen. You can't beat the location. Waking up every morning to the sweet sounds and smells of Augusta street is a memory I won't soon forget. I can't say enough good things about this place. It is by far the best hostel i have ever stayed, anywhere in the world.

Small kitchen, incredibly noisy and the staff does nothing about it. They need to have more organized outings to night clubs.

the breakfast wasn't that great, just toast and mini muffins. The shower in our room didn't work that well and really hot water was nearly impossible. Otherwise it is probably one of the best hostels I have ever been to. Joe, who works there most of the nights, is absolutely the nicest, coolest host. He took us out every night. We only paid $5 to get in to some places that charge up to $30 and we got to go in via the VIP. Another thing about this hostel is they actually had room service

the best thing about this place is the roof top patio. The night we arrived, they had a BBQ for all the guests. It was such a great way to meet people. Stayed there in January 2009 and every night people were on the patio until 3 or 4 in the morning.

lots of space in the common area, 3 computers for Internet. This is a great place to stay. Lots of great common areas, the roof top patio, the side garden, the Internet room, the entrance lobby, the TV and pool table room. One night, we all went out to buy food to prepare our own BBQ - it was so much fun!
