Summer Hostels - Beaverbank

This shouldn't have been advertised as a hostel. It is an unserviced apartment. Having to pay for late check-in is very unusual in my experience, as is paying for linen these days. Both were quite expensive too. The information provided in the original ad was wrong. For starters it was advertised as a twin room, when it was actually a very small double (a 3/4 bed is barely a double as well). We were contacted before arriving but it was far too late to book anywhere else at that point.

Great place. Comfortable beds, and surprisingly quiet even in the 38 bed dorm. Clean bathroom and nice hot showers. Fun bar and it's great that they offer breakfast from 6-12 and check out isn't until 12.

Il Castello di Dante

The owners are absolutely lovely and gave us service well above and beyond what you'd expect or even hope for. Absolutely spotless and a very nice bed and bathroom. In a quiet village, but walking distance from the airport and a short bus ride to the beach or into Ancona. Bus seemed to run regularly even on weekends. Walking distance from a great restaurant - Osteria Altrove - which we discovered the second night. Worth booking as we had to wait for a table, but worth the wait.
