This hostel is in a great location, in the middle of the Hong Kong action. This isn’t a typical hostel (it’s in an apartment block so feels more like a hotel). There are some computers at reception but there’s no good area to hang out and meet other travellers which was a big negative for me. Wifi was terrible in the reception area but it was fine in our room. Overall the rooms were clean and had good a/c. Rooms are small but probably standard for HK. Staff were friendly and spoke good English.
Nice hostel. Bar/restaurant area with pool table and TV room, so there was a nice atmosphere in the evenings. Rooms were clean and good value. Staff were very friendly and spoke perfect English. Helped out with tours and travel advice but always felt like they were trying to sell us something. Not an issue though. Lockers in reception for extra security if you’re worried about keeping valuables in your room. A little bit out of town so location wasn’t perfect but not too far to walk to town.
Can’t really say anything bad about this hostel. It's on the edge of the old town so it's a bit quieter than the 'main square'. This wasn’t an issue though. It was only a five/ten minute stroll through the nice streets to get to the livelier part of the old town. Rooms were very clean and good value. The staff were really nice and helpful and spoke very good English. While we were there the bar area was being renovated so it was a bit dusty but I think it will be great when it’s finished.
Nice hostel. We booked private rooms with ensuites which were very clean and comfortable, but I did hear other people complain about the shared bathrooms saying they could be cleaner. Nice restaurant area downstairs near reception. Staff were very very friendly and offered really good advice for day trips to Leshan, pandas etc. We used them to book some trips and train tickets. There was always someone at reception with perfect English. Would definitely recommend.
