This hostel has universal power outlets for any type of adapter. There are small lockers outside the rooms. The breakfast also has some fruit which is a plus for me. The pool is large and clean. I would recommend this hostel!

This hostel is not near the centre and not a very nice area. The place is more like a hotel and the people here seen not to stay here to meet other people. The rooms are very clean though and the bathrooms are hugenberg and modern.

This hostel has a very nice atmosphere and great for meeting other backpackers. The dinner and breakfast are very nice. They organize tours every day to different beaches and you can sign up for going out at night. There is a large garden with a small pool which is great for hanging out and meet other guests. I had a great time and met many people here. I would definitely go back next time I'm here.

The hostel is close to the beach and the center but the security is not very good since the place does have an open entrance. They were working at the hostel and started sawing and hammering at 8 in the morning. At the time was there there were only a few people and the bar was not open so not much contact with other travelers.

This is a nice place to relax and meet other travelers. The staff is helpful and they have bike rentals. The only negative is that the rooms don't have locks on the door and the noise from outside and from the hall. It would be nice if there are a few more separate toilets

This place has a nice vibe with a roof terrace and a patio. The rooms were small and the electricity went out for a couple of hours when I was there. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The only thing what is abut concerning is that everyone seem to be able to walk in the hostel and go into the rooms since the front door is always open and there are no locks on the rooms.

It is located in the heart of the old city center and has a great view from the roof terrace. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The door is always locked and you have to ask to open it whenever you want to go out. Also the elevator is very old and does not come if someone forgets to close the elevator doors. The rooms can also a very noisy with the Main Street below, but the BBQ evening and nice common areas make up for the flows.

I had a great stay, when I arrived they upgraded me to a private room, they might had overbooked the dorm. I decided to stay in the room and they gave me a 10 Sol discount. It's a quiet hostel near a busy crossing, but that did not bother me. It's has no common areas, if you don't count the hallways. The only slightly minus was that it's about 10 min walk away from Plaza Des Armes and the port.

A quiet and relaxed hostel which made my acclimatization to the altitude easier. It is a bit of a walk to get to the main square but good location for hiking to Saqsaywaman since it's halfway up on the hill. The best part is that they have James, the travel agent who really took care of all my trip bookings. He also double checked if everything was received and even made sure that my bus ticket to Puno was delivered at another hostel after my Maxhu Picchu trip.

Nice hostel. It's very close to Gaslight district but in still a quieter area. The room I stayed in was getting warm despite of the fan. But it seemed that this room gets very cold in the winter, so it might be because it's surrounded by other buildings and the walls are not isolated. The hostel has plenty of bathrooms and is very clean (kitchen excluded). The lobby which is also the shared space with PC is next door in different apartment. This is very spacious and good to hangout or relax.

This is more like a motel located in an poor lit neighborhood at night. The rooms are desperately in need of some uplift. But the place is cheap and easy to hop on a bus or take a train. I stayed only for 2 nights, but would not recommend to stay here longer or you are looking for a relaxing time and want to go shopping; there is basically nothing here but some Mexican restaurants.

Located few blocks from Market st. The rooms are small but has lockers for each bed (BYOP-bring your own padlock) and has own bathroom, however toilet is not separate. Staff seemed not very organized; forgot to write down I already paid for my key deposit. All in all a run-of-the-mill type of hostel, nothing special or different but good for a night or 2 if you need a bed.

Funny Palace Hostel

Rome, Italy

This hostel is right near the Termini station and good for getting around. However the place I stayed in has no common area. Breakfast is very basic: just one drink (coffee or juice) with an croissant which you can pick up from the local cafe around the corner. The room I stayed in has regular beds, mini safes for small stuff, but no cabinets for your luggage or clothes. The bathroom contains a bathtub with shower (without a clip, so you have to hold it!) and toilet, you have to wait to be free.

This place is kind of a cheap hotel. Since there are no hostels in Siena this is one of the cheaper hotels I found. The room I stayed in has a tiny bathroom and not really a view (to the inner area across the reception). Very basic: just a tv and cabinet. But the location was great because it is just a block away from the main attractions on a the more quieter square.

This hostel is right in the center of the village. The rooms have bunk beds and are creaking. Each bed has its own locker big enough for your luggage. Downside is that the bathrooms don't have hangers for your clothes or towel. Breakfast is not included but it contains croissants.

Just a good, quiet hostel right at the center near the Duomo, too bad the wifi was not working in the rooms because some travelers were Skyping at midnight :-(. Not a place for meeting people but excellent for crushing. A big plus is that the rooms don't have bunk beds. A negative is that the toilet is not separate from the shower, so you have to wait, luckily there are 3 bathrooms.

Nice clean and modern hostel. Although not quite close the main attractions (except for Sagrada Familia) but it's close to two metro stations and and the personal in-room lockers are very handy. Unfortunately my room mates made a lot of noise when they returned at 4 or 5 AM and kept on shouting and walking in and out for over an hour.

Hostel Cathedral

Mexico City, Mexico

This is a standard type of hostel a with many rooms and bunk beds. The rooms all centered around the open space which all look upon the restaurant on the ground floor, this is also the downside since the restaurant is also open for public and start to play music at 8.00 AM. So not adviced for the light sleepers or late night owls.

thanks a lot for your input, it helps us improve! We already stop playing music before 10 am and are working on putting sound sealing windows so the noise from the open space doesn´t go through those rooms. Thanks again and happy travels!

Hotel and Youth Hostal Mayflower

It's close to the beach. There is a kitchen to cook for yourself, breakfast is not included and there is only water available for free. There is only one key per room and that one is always kept outside in the door to open it. Although there is always someone at the entrance it seems not very secure to leave your valuables in the rooms. The showers and toilets are very small and do not have hot water during my stay.

I had a nice stay and good for meeting other travelers (mostly backpackers). They have also a big roof terrace with a bar and nice view over the city. But when the music is played here then it can be heard clearly in the rooms on the floor below. I enjoyed the hostel and would stay here again.

This is a place with a nice big pool and is very clean. The private room I stayed in was very big and had a TV and bath. The owner is originally from the UK and liked to talk. He had some difficulty to get guests since the last review mentioned about bed bugs in the rooms. However I have not discovered any and it all looked very clean. Although they were maybe even nicer a few years ago since you could see it was in need for some new paint or reconstruction. All in all it was good a price value.

The dorm room I stayed in was pretty small for the 3 bunks beds. There were 2 people in the room who were not really traveling but looking for work. One was a girl who complained about any sound and sweared constantly. The other was a Vincent Diesel look a like who got angry at someone and threatened to smash his head to the floor. Not really a nice atmosphere for your holiday stay!

Gordon Inn

Tel Aviv, Israel

This is a very common average hostel with no lockers, hangers in the showers. They change and remove the linens evry day so you had to make up your bed every day. But the most annoying thing wasit was overbooked and added in 2 extra beds in a 7 bed room and that you could not expect that your bed is still yours when you come back or that they have put stuff on it. The only compensation they gave was 25 shekels discount.
