Kitchen had no stove, only electrical appliances. Common room is tiny. Staff smoke at the door.
A good cosy hostel in an excellent location not far from the railway station. Lovely courtyard out the back. It has the feel of a home about it. Easy to meet other travellers. Breakfast is expensive but there is plenty of it. Staff are very helpful. Only downside is that there are no lockers.
Despite this being a very large hostel, it works well. Only good large hostel I have stayed in. Very friendly and easy to meet travellers, particularly if you join the shabbat dinner on Friday.
This is a very good hostel with a cosy feel about it. Easy to meet other travellers. Friendly staff. Great patio area out the back to relax in with a beer after a day wandering around Tel Aviv. Very clean and great location just of Allenby St. Easy to get to by bus from Central Bus station or the rail station.
A very good hostel right in the middle of town, just a coue of minutes walk from the Egyptian museum. Easy to meet fellow travels and team up to share costs (eg on trips to pyramids, saqqara etc)
Excellent hostel right near the train station. Great roof top terrace to chill out over a beer after a hot day touring the sights. Easy to meet fellow travellers. Mohammed and Mia do a superb free pick up service from the bus or train station. Top value.
Reasonable budget hotel at a reasonable price. Friendly staff. Hot water was intermittent.
Excellent budget hotel. It is a fair hike to the Petra Visitor's Centre but the hotel provides a good shuttle service. The views over Wadi Musa and the mountains around Petra are just awesome; cannot be beat. The lounge/balcony on the 4th floor is superb.
This is my second stay here. It is an excellent hostel perfectly located just 2 minutes from the Roman amphitheatre and right in the city centre. Staff are great and it is very easy to meet other travellers and arrange to share costs for trips. Price includes a superb breakfast.
Despite being rated by Hostelworld as a novice, I have stayed in well over 100 hostels and this is one of the best. Great staff, superb location 2 minutes from the amphitheatre, unbelievable breakfast included, easy to meet other travellers and team up for trips, Good organisation of shared cost day trips if you want this.
This hostel is under new management who are making a great effort to upgrade it. The management is very friendly and helpful. They will soon be installing lockers and have already upgraded the communal/reception area which has improved it dramatically.
This is basically just a few very crowded dorms above a pub. There is no common room, no kitchen or anything other than the dorms. Staff very nice and friendly. Showers and toilets were clean. Security was average. While door security worked well, lockers were tiny and not enough in the dorm (6 small lockers for 9 people - bad). Unfortunately London is probably the worst destination in terms of hostel standards - expensive; limited facilities with little alternative.
This is a brand new hostel. I had just walked 33 km that day to Santorem and to find this was a godsend. The husband and wife team who run it are freindly, helpful delightful people. It is perfectly located just one minute from the Tourism Office in the middle of the old town. Dorms are very spacious. There is a quiet roof top terrace as well as a lounge to relax in and dining room with a bar on an honour system basis. Breakfast was plentful. Cheers John Holland
They say there is no place like home. Well Lisbon Lounge has got to be the next best thing. Friendly, fun, just superb. It is the best hostel I have stayed in anywhere in the world - and I have stayed in a heck of a lot. I have already booked another stay on my return to Lisbon.

Good hostel except for the noise at night. Street noise was high and thus it was hard to sleep.
