Smart Hyde Park Inn

Showers, well a trickle of water at times isn't appropriate and it doesn't help when a light goes off every 35 seconds. Duvets hadn't been changed in don't know how long and had obviously been left by the previous incumbant. No soap in some toilets, toilets blocked in others. Don't expect the earth from a hostel but BASIC CLEANLINESS AND FACILITIES THAT WORK are the bare minimum. I suspect the owners don't care and are just ripping young travellers off who are desperate for somewhere to stay

Everything good really. Loved the area and the fact I could see the Thames from the room I was sleeping in. A steal at around £10 per night in May. The facilities are good. Hot showers, plenty of room for everybody. Breakfasts are good. Free cereal, toast and tea or coffee sets you up for the day. Never heard or saw any problems with security. Lockers in rooms if you wanted to use them. For being in the East End it's easy enough to find. Get off at Island Gardens tube. I shall return.

1. One toilet hand no wash hand basin AT ALL with which to use. 2. A mixed dormitory hand a shower inside it. Not very private. 3. I at no point had a key and had to rely on reception giving me a key to let me in my dormitory. 4. Hard to find. 5. Value for money - OK. IN SHORT THE WORST HOSTEL I'VE EVER LIVED IN AND I'VE TRAVELLED ALL OVER THE WORLD.
