Shelter Jordan

Amsterdam, Netherlands

I stayed in the all male 18-person room. A couple of snorers at night but that's why you bring ear plugs! Location is far away enough from the noise of the city yet close enough should you fancy cafes/shoama wraps (kebab wrap type food) and off the main streets. Definitely bring flip-flops as the showers are outside the room and a head-torch which has a white and red light is mega-handy at night when you don't want to disturb anyone when rumaging through to your locker and bag.

Hotel Euroglobe

Copenhagen, Denmark

Copenhagen is naturally expensive as is Malmo in Sweden. You may find this hostel slightly expensive but it's inline with living expenses. Very close to Tivoli, Central station, Vesterport and the main shopping street of Stogert. I found staff friendly. Although hostel is old (no lift to 3rd floor) and basic but cheap in comparison to others I was looking at when booking (floors are slanted in this building hence the character). Travel costs were minimum due to location and very quiet area.
