I stayed one night, so I cannot comment too much. The restaurant (amusingly named 'The Restaurant') appeared to be closed down. But don't worry too much because about 15 minutes walk away is a whole food market area, so if you want to get something to eat you can get pretty much anything you want there. The bed was nice, everything was clean, and they had an airport shuttle that ran roughly every 30 minutes. For an airport stop over, I was satisfied.

A beach hut, with a hammock, roughly 40 steps from the beach. Yes please. Given the prices in Haad Rin, this private beach hut actually worked out cheaper than paying for a private room in a hostel or hotel. It's a small bungalow, big enough to fit a double bed, with the other half containing the bathroom. There is no AC other than a mounted wall fan. This was fine for me, but if you want it really cool, this might be an issue. I felt that it was worth the money.

If you want a party hostel then this is for you. Lots of activities, drinks and partying. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly and will go out of their way to make sure you have a pleasant stay. Being in my 30s, but not ready to give up partying, it was reassuring to see that they didn't have an age limit. Many hostels ban people in their 30s and above, so it was good to know that I could still join in and have fun.

I had bad food poisoning / dysentery for most of my time in Egypt. I had a horrible time. But these guys were just so kind, cheerful and friendly that they really saved my Egyptian trip. Luxor is filled with people trying to rip you off and cheat you at every turn, but the staff of this hotel are honest, trustworthy and extremely helpful. Without their great attitude my time in Luxor would have been a truly miserable one. They can also help with tours and trips! Thanks guys!

The hotel is right in the middle of downtown and is pretty close to the museum if you're up for a little walk. However, Cairo is a maze, and this hotel is hard to find, so I would certainly ask these guys for a pickup just so you're sure you're at the right place. The staff are really lovely, friendly, and will do anything they can to make sure your stay is great. Be warned, the building is quite noisy. The people upstairs were shouting and banging a lot during my stay.

I had a few issues in the beginning. The hostel said that you can get the 305 bus to the hostel. I jumped on it and ended up on the other side of Sofia. It doesn't seem to go anywhere near the hostel. That aside, the hostel is clean and the staff are friendly. You can use the BBQ outside. There was only 1 shower on the floor I was on, so expect to queue a bit. But it wasn't a big deal.

Nice chilled hostel. Everyone generally seemed to keep to themselves, so it wasn't the most sociable hostel I've been to. But it's obviously not the fault of the hostel. I was only there one night, so perhaps it's different at other times. Staff were friendly and helpful. The location is good. I loved the outside area.

A nice enough place. The staff are friendly. The cleanliness of the room kind of let it down. The shelves in my room had clearly not been cleaned in months as there was about an inch of dust on them. But the essentials were cleaned well enough (bed and bathroom). There's a nice patio area up top on the roof that has a kitchen and nice area to relax, chat and watch the sun go down. That said, the kitchen had a serious lack of knives. Everything else was well stocked...just no knives.

It's about a 15 - 20 minute walk from the main train station. It's 15 minutes from the nearest metro. So getting around is absolutely fine. The staff are wonderful and extremely helpful. The facilities are all pretty much what anyone could want. The common room is somewhat small, but able to fit in a good dozen people. A lovely hostel.

I honestly didn't spend much time in the hostel. I was there to sleep and generally left just after waking up, so I can't really comment on the atmosphere. However, there were enough showers available for me to be able to take a shower without having to wait. The bunks were stable, but I only just fit. If you're over 6'4" you wont fit. But this wont be a concern for the vast majority of people. The girls at reception were friendly and helpful.

The staff are all very cool and very friendly. They were even very relaxed when I missed my bus pickup and quickly sent out another (My bus was 6 hours late). After such a journey, it's great to be welcomed into a chilled atmosphere. The hostel is quite a distance from the old city. But really, there's not a number of reasons to be right in the city, and they have a private shuttle bus working until 1am, so you can get in and out without a problem. Swimming pool and Jacuzzi are nice

Palmers Lodge Zagreb, Zagreb, Croatia

I chose Palmers at the last minute due to my other hostel not allowing check in after 8pm. A good choice it certainly was. A 5 minute walk from the main train station. 15-20 minute walk to the centre (it's a pretty walk, don't worry). The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The kitchen facilities were nice, although I didn't use them due to the huge number of cheap restaurants in the city. A/C in the dorms. Again, the staff were great and very chilled. No complaints.

The staff are exceptionally helpful and were able to answer all of my questions, no matter how stupid they were. (I was even directed to the best ice cream in Budapest) The rooms are fine. But keep in mind that Budapest is a party city, so expect your room mates to be stumbling in drunk from 1am through to 6am. Also, due to there being no A/C the windows had to be opened. It's very noisy down on the street (drunken party goers until 5am) So not much sleep was had. Otherwise, no problems.

The staff were extremely helpful and polite. Some people have complained about the location in other reviews. These are clearly people who are either scared of the metro or just not very good at using public transport. It's a 5-10 minute walk to Westhalfen Sbahn, from which it is only 2 stops to Gesunbrunen. From Gesundbrunen you have easy access to the rest of Berlin. However, if you want a party hostel, look elsewhere.

Great value and great services. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. This is the 4th hostel I have stayed in in London and it's easily the best. My only complaint is that the en suit shower gives out a trickle of cold water. It's pretty pointless in paying extra for the en suit dorm when the shower doesn't work. However, I raised this with the staff and they said that they would get it seen to, so hopefully the problem will be fixed. The location is also fantastic.

I would love to recommend the hostel, especially as the woman running it is lovely. Sadly, due to personal issues of the people running it, I was asked to leave the hostel and was sent to what was possibly the worst hostel I have ever stayed in. It really was one of the most surreal stays I have ever had in a hostel. So, as much as I liked the very friendly owner, being sent to another hostel half way through my stay was really bad and I cannot recommend this place.

We actually didn't stay in this hostel and ended up being sent to their sister hostel due to construction work being carried out. The sister hostel was a couple of streets away and wasn't bad. I have never slept on such squeeky beds in my life. I was a little concerned about the stability of the thing and half expected it to collapse at any moment. Some of the beds squeek so loudly that I was frequently woken up by other people simply turning over in their bed. Other than this, it's not bad
