Nice, clean hostel. Room was also clean but bin wasn't emptied while I was there - 3 days. Good location: close to metro, shopping area and some of the main tourist attractions are just a short walk away. Common area was nice and funky. Didn't choose to have breakfast there. 65DKK if you book in advance or 75DKK that morning. Aldi around the corner and other small places where you can grab a hot drink and a pastry. The only real disadvantage was having to pay €11 to use a foreign credit card!
The staff were so friendly and helpful. The room was ensuite. Very clean and spaceous. Breakfast was extra but good value for money. Served in the bar area which had a good atmosphere. Short walk from the city centre (15 minutes or so). As a solo traveller it probably wasn't the best place to meet new people but would definately recommend it. Good value for money.
Room was v.clean.Recently refurbished.Blinds/curtains still haven't been fitted!Appeared to be only 3 WC in hostel.WC/shower & a 2nd shower on 3rd floor.Long wait for WC upstairs in the morning/evening.Male/female WC near reception downstairs. There were still queues & it was annoying having to go up/downstairs to check. My room was beside the stairwell.V.noisy at night with people coming back.Aside from that the location was great.I’m sure once the refurbishments are finished it will look well.
First impressions weren't great. The check-in desk is at the bar so after a long, wet day had to wait for 15 mins in a packed bar to get my keycode. The hostel, including the rooms, are dated and the décor is dark. Could do with a revamp. Beds are packed really close together so my head was really close to a strangers. But the staff were very friendly and the breakfast was lovely. Good value for money.
The queues for the internet were crazy. For such a busy hostel it might be worth investing in a few more!!! And it was so noisy. There were people making noise outside the hostel at all hours.
As a solo traveller its a great place to meet people. They offer so much for free - net, tea/coffee, really nıce breakfast, pasta, beer, shot in pub a few doors down. Great value. And the staff are lovely. Would defınately recommend it. Just to note that ensuite means there is a shower in the room. No toilet. But there was never a queue for toilets in communal bathrooms. Only negative point was the mould and mildew in the shower room. Should install extractor fans...
Near to the main train station. Signposted to hostel which is great. 20mins from tourist attractions. Staff did their job but they weren't friendly and one girl was just plain rude. As a lone traveller no fun at all. But the rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. Skip on breakfast. Not nice and not worth €4. Aldi right next door!
I don't recommend this hotel. No common room. No kitchen. You have to use water from bathroom to make tea/ coffee and wash your dishes there too. Hostel over 3 floors. Adjacent to residential areas. There are security issues - notices reminding you to ensure that the main door is closed. There was a homeless man outside the floor I was staying on - looked like he was waiting to get into hostel. He urinated outside the door. Which goes to explain the awful smell in the common stairwell!
Really nice hostel - was more like a hotel. Rooms were really clean. They let me check in early. Staff were really helpful and friendly. Would recommend it to anyone visiting Krakow.
Lovely helpful staff. Only problem was the internet. They only had one computer and it was out of order one of the days. The connection was very slow.
Great location and its cheap. But if your looking for a good nights sleep then perhaps you should look elsewhere. Walls are paper thin. Kitchen was meant to be locked at night but there was someone there at 5.30pm making noise. Room wasnt cleaned properly - totally missed under the bed...
