Aoi Garden Home

Aoi Garden is a small and cozy hostel in a good location. The rooms and facilities are well maintained and the staff are always friendly and helpful. Like a lot of people who stay here, I extended my stay an extra couple of days. Do yourself a favour, hire a scooter and go explore! Chiang Mai is awesome, and so too is this hostel. Big thanks to T and all the other staff members for making things so easy and enjoyable.

This is a modern hostel with excellent amenities and comfortable beds. The lounge is a great place to escape and relax after a long day. It would help if there was a guide on how to use the TV/DVD player. The communal and internet area is a bit bland and lifeless, but provides a decent area to meet people and relax. The staff need to work on their customer service skills and werent very knowledgable about the surrounding area. The tour operator hovever, was excellent. Overall a great hostel.

A decent place to stay in a great location. The pool is a highlight & very refreshing. The kitchen is good, showers are kept clean. The only negatives are the distance to the bathrooms, uncomfortable beds, and the mozzies! but its the tropics so just remember the bug spray. I recommend this place so long as you're prepared to sleep on a foam mattress.

Smart Hyde Park Inn

Another poorly operated \'Smart\' hostel. The owner of these \'Smart\' hostels needs to think more about the service being provided than the money they can make. The kitchen is a prime example. How hard is it to buy some decent cutlery and crockery? Also, lockers, internet access and baggage holding for departing guests should be inclusive. Stay somewhere else.

This poorly operated hostel is by far the most annoying Ive stayed at. The kitchen needs to be re-stocked, pots & pans are all scratched or burnt & most have no handles. Also missing are forks spoons bowls & hand towels! The sardine style rooms with slamming doors and lack of storage space have uncomfortable beds with over sized sheets & pathetic pillows. The irritating timed showers are inconsistent with an avg time of 10s, seriously! Lockers & internet access should be inclusive Never again!

This hostel reminded of a childs adventure treehouse. Hallways twist and turn in a maze, and im sure theres some hidden rooms too. Paper thin walls meant we heard everything going on, people chatting loudly till 2am, someone being sick until 4am. The internet connection was lousy at best. Its a nice hostel tho, and close to a busy shopping district too.

A nice enough place to stay. The room floor needed to be swept and the pillows were terrible. Other than that it was a good few nights and the 5 min walk to the beach is fine. We swam out to the island from the beach (we named it rice bubble island), was about a 40min swim against the current, excellent little adventure, would of been fantastic with goggles and fins...

Great hostel, highly recommended! I enjoyed my stay here that I extended a few weeks. Great bunch of people, good rooms and showers. My only gripe was that the kitchen closed too early for us night owls. The Isle of Skye tour was amazing too.

Flying Pig Beach Hostel

Noordwijk is good to get away & chill. There\'s hardly a thing to do tho & the beach is pretty grim. The hostel lacks a lot in the way of comfort and cleanliness, it was fine staying here but totally boring. They seem to be trying to run a bar more than a hostel here & are failing badly at both. At times it was more fun meeting ppl in the dorms than hangin in the communal area. Huge room for improvement here.

Clean, secure and comfortable. A great place for tour groups but not ideal for the single traveller as there is no atmosphere. Good for a few nights tho.

This place rocks! Highly recommended! The free meals cant be beaten, the location is perfect, excellent hostel activities, clean rooms with hot showers, this is the place to stay! The staff are very friendly and helpful, especially Mumma who cooks some of the tastiest meals in south beach and provides a unique character to this awesome hostel.
