This boutique hotel was a perfect base for my male friend and I whilst we were in Budapest. The staff were very friendly and helpful as well as pretty funny! The atmosphere in the hostel was tight knit because there were no more than 20 people staying at the hostel at any time. I would definitely recommend this hostel to others.
Good hostel for a quick stay. I arrived late at night and left early the next morning. It is is a very central location (easy to find late at night without a map...), is clean and comfortable. Not too much of an atmosphere at the hostel.

A very comfortable hostel to stay at. Very central! Seconds walk from the metro station. We really enjoyed our stay there and would definitely stay there again.
We were very pleased to find an ensuite bathroom when we were expecting a shared bathroom. The staff were lovely and very helpful. It's only a 10 minute walk to La Ramblas...easily done.
Apart from the reception being closed several times when it was supposed to be open and not getting a double bed as booked, the hostel was very comfortable. The ensuite was small but more than adequate. It\'s pretty poor that the advertised kitchenette couldn\'t be used without paying a 20 euro deposit for the key for it. The location was really close to the train station and the beach. a bit of a walk from old town but not a problem by any means. the staff could have been more helpful.
Easily the best hostel we've ever stayed in! We stayed in two different rooms...the first was more like a hotel room and the second wasn't too different. We loved loved loved the satellite TV! Thanks Marco, you are the greatest.
We paid for a double bed with ensuite but the first night we had to share a bathroom. Then we didn't have hot water for two mornings and water leaked through the wall and wet our bags. When we told the owners about it they just said it was interesting...no sorry or anything! I'll be looking for somewhere better to stay next time.
The hostel has good connections with the Panorama tour group which means you're picked up and dropped off at the door. It was a bit disconcerting that they wrote "showers are free!" like it's normal that you would have to pay for a shower??? And no free internet...not even if you have your own computer. It felt a bit like we were just always handing over money to them for something. A fine hostel but that was not great.
Black Canadian walking tour guide - Ozzie - was great! Staff were very helpful. Breakfast was great. It's a bit annoying not to have wireless internet access in the rooms (the common area can be quite crowded). The cleaning detergent smells really bad. It's really good that they dispense towels for free for use in the hostel.
This is a wonderful place to stay if you just want to do your own thing and don't need a bar and those sorts of things. That was the case for us so it was great. Very affordable for what it offers. Some directions to the apartment from the train station would be beneficial.
The Circus is a very sophisticated hostel with many staff able and very willing to help you. We had a very enjoyable time there (aside from the showers which an be a bit of a pain!) Also, fantastic breakfast and very affordable! Steer away from the nachos though.
