great location, great staff (Apoel) and great free breakfast and dinner. would stay here again. 6 bedded dorm had two ensuite bathrooms which was pretty good. lockers would have made me give a higher rating. it would be good if they could be provided

nice place to stay.. the workers on the desk are very helpful and knowledgeable. the 4 bedded dorm was spacious, the beds were comfy and the ensuite bathroom was big and clean. the room had a large locker for each bed which was good. breakfast was cheap but substantial sized portions were served. the roof terrace was sparse but gave a good view and you could take your own outside beer up. would stay there again

good place for a couple of days. close to food places, bars, the marina and the bus station. the roof terrace is quite good for a beer and the showers were pretty hot and had good pressure. there is a bar next door that can play loud music to a late hour so if you have problems sleeping when there is a lot of noise this place may not be the place for you.

I made a reservation as the city was busy and its difficult to get accomodation. I'd a heavy bag and didn't want to walk the city in heat looking for a room. at the property there was no bed available as people had not checked out He took me around some hostels which were pretty poor quality. Most were full but the last one, which was terrible, had a vacancy which i took as other places were full. He promised a room next day and once again on arrival there was no room available.

not as good as the vedanta hostel in alleppy but good value for money all the same. atmosphere wasn't great but i guess that depends on the crowd in the hostel at the time- it does have a common area so with the right crowd it probably could be really good. unlike the other vedanta hostel's it does not have a good outdoor area to sit in which has made me mark it down also

decent enough spot whilst in transit. easy to find from the directions given and nice staff. i sleep deeply but there can be a lot of noise at night which might be troublesome for those who sleep lightly as the doors are really thin. good cheap beer in the hostel and a good pub close by one block in front of the hostel to the left..

Thank you very much for your review! In fact what you say is right, the Zebra Hostel is the perfect spot if you're searching for some fun! At the some time we try to give a quiet atmosphere in the rooms but some times that's difficult, we continue to do our best anyway! :)

the place was grand enough. essentially a room in a person's house. the family were nice and the ones who couldn't speak english made up for it by smiling often. probably about a 15 minute walk to the old town although you can also get a bus which would get you there in about 5 minutes

great location at a good price. the pull out drawers in the room were a bit of a hazard as they didn't go under the bed properly- easy enough to accidently kick them when coming in through the night into a dark room. still great value though thanks

the staff were a bit draconian. At 30 years of age it is the 1st time I have ever been told that we would be refused entry into the premises later on that evening 'if we couldn't talk or walk.' Firstly I have never been in that state and secondly they were offering a pub crawl that night so you have got to think many folk would be drunk. The staff were also unapproachable. In most hostels I have stayed staff are smiling and welcome any questions. the staff in this establishment were not.

a very impersonal hostel. some of the staff were very unhelpful although the staff who were good were very good. the new cuban bar worker seemed friendly and always had a smile unlike the frosty barmaid. the bar wasn't well used by the people in the hostel so it was difficult to meet people. would be much better if they only had wifi in public areas as some of the people in my room never seemed to leave the room instead they spent all day and night on their computers while lying in their bed

the australian girl tending bar/ acting as receptionist was excellent. very friendly and aproachable. the hostel is clean, cheap and well placed for spending time in edinburgh or for a short stop over if you are requiring to spend a night in he city before catching an early morning flight. definitely would stay there again.

the stay at the hostel was great value for money. the breakfast is great, the bar probably has the cheapest beer in town and the food menu is extensive and cheap- all sports are also shown as well. the only criticism is the hostel doors don't have locks (get a padlock for your locker from reception) and there are only 2 male and 2 female toilets so in the morning it can be difficult to get access. i would stay there again though

Thank you very much for your review and I am glad you appreciated our services and value for money. Thank you also for your comment reference the lack of key for the main dormitory door. Customers frequently lose their key and we have a high turnover of guests in this part of the Resort . This is no excuse however and we are now urgently rectifying the problem. Thank you again and I hope you enjoyed your further travels in Egypt.

the location of the hostel was great, the 6 bedded dorm i was in was clean enough, spacious enough and the bed was comfy enough. The bathrooms however were quite dirty. 2 mornings in a row i needed to clean the bathroom before i used it although that is more down to the other folk in the hostel being messy/ dirty than the actual hostels fault. only 2 toilets per floor is inadequate for the number of prople on each floor (around 20) the kitchen could do with more utensils as well.

Lialy Inn

the hostel is ok. the owners are not overly pushy when it comes to their trips unlike some others in cairo and it is centrally located. free breakfast isn\'t up to much but it\'s ok. the dorm rooms don\'t have a lock and the fan is really noisy. private rooms have locks though which is good. you need to use a brush to push water towards the drain after your shower but it\'s not that much of an inconvenience. good value for money. would stay there again. was very quiet though when i was

great hostel! right in the centre of dahab it's a 5min walk to the lighthouse for snorkelling&diving&is right next to restaurants. i was given a private room with aircon despite booking a dorm(paying the same price) mohammed (the reception guy) is excellent as are the bar staff. it has an excellent roof terrace, bar area and beach sitting area. hostel is clean and new. would recommend this place&would return in a heartbeat. dedicated hostel so no hard sell on tours- perfect!

Regent House Hostel

Cairo, Egypt

cheap¢rally located(so are they all in cairo though) the owner and some of his staff try&sell you tours night and day which is a pain. they didn't turn up for me at the airport despite me recieving an email telling me they'd be there. particular warnings- their free pyramid trip involves visits to shops owned by their friends, their trips don't have itinaries and the guides don't always speak english, traffic makes some rooms really noisy & never pay up front- refund unheard of!

good alternative to the tourist mecca of koh san road. the hostel is a good place to meet people, the food menu is good and it is fairly cheap. it\'s close to the sky train and has good nightly promotions at the bar and during sporting events. good for solo travellers and for people travelling as a group.

decent enough hostel. we stayed in the dorm and luckily there were others in it which made it good. if we\'d been the only ones maybe it wouldn\'t have been as good. we had little dealings with the staff and it is more a hotel than hostel so there is little in the way of organised fun. decent enough though to use as a base for a few days in rome but i\'d imagine it could be a lonely place for a solo traveller if it was quite when they were there

we only stayed the one night on the way to a champions league match but the hostel was ok. it was clean and centrally located and it had no curfew. we weren\'t there long enough to say whether or not it was fun but as a place to sleep it was more than adequate
