Great locations in Wicker Park, near El and bus lines. Nice, safe neighborhood with lots to do, see, eat and drink. Would stay again!
Central location: good for a quick overnight, not for long term. Staff was helpful but understaffed. Nothing too exciting about this place but will do if you just need a bed.

Overall, an unpleasant stay. Staff could be helpful only what the wanted to be. Not much of an atmosphere with very tiny outside patio. Extremely hot in the night: bring insect repellant if you want a breeze from leaving the window open. Not the great hostel if used to be a few years ago by any means. Would not return.
Location is pretty far from the city, 45-60 walk or public transportation. Hostel seems to be a bit run down, our "double bed" was just a bit larger than a twin and made for an uncomfortable night of sleep. They try to cram too many people into the hostel, and it can be quite hot. Bar downstairs is mainly just staff and their friends, although the staff are pretty nice/helpful for the most part.
My only compliant is that it's far from the city center but you can easily reach it by tram. We simply prefer to be in walking distance. Very clean, quiet and easy to relax in. Went to a great restaurant in the area with recommendation from the staff. Would stay again if in Zagreb
An excellent stay here! Janez was a great host with wonderful recommendations and even a few discounts on restaurants. He always checked in with us asking if "we need something..." He and his family kept a very clean hostel with great kitchen and grill area. Not a big common area but we met some great people here just the same. Quiet for the most part until the old Slovenian regulars turn up at the bar in the parking lot in the morning rather early. Still had a great time here!
Fine hostel in the old city center, less than 5 min walk to everything. Our room with clean and comfortable and since we got the top floor, we had a patio as well. Only 1 toilet and shower for 5 different rooms (or about 10-12 people). Was a bit of a problem in the morning. Some staff could be more helpful, as we said we'd return at 2 to check in and no one was there! Only accepts cash.
3 different properties in Piran, maybe we just got the worst property. Staff didn't offer map, suggestions, wifi codes or tell us anything about supposed roof-top terraces. We got a cave-like room that was hot, unclean, and directly under the staircase (imagine Harry Potter's room under the stairs). We could hear EVERYTHING above us. Glad we only stayed here one night as we'd never come back.
Good location, but rather cold B&B. Staff could have been more welcoming and offer recommendations. Had to ask for towels. Bathroom and room average, not dirty but not welcoming either. No fan in room. Wouldn't stay here again.
My second stay at Hostel of the Sun after a 5 year hiatus. It's gotten bigger but hasn't lost much of it's previous charm. Good, helpful staff. Clean, air-conditiond rooms with decent bathroom facilities. Common room was a bit small for all of the people staying here. Good location near all the great pizzeria's and ferries for day trips. Would stay again if in Naples.
Location was a bit far away for walking the city, although public transportation is available. Our host was very nice giving us recommendations, cooking for us, and letting us cook for ourselves. This B&B had 2 cats which we weren't aware of in booking (we are both allergic). It made for a rather bad smell in the common area and made it a bit dirty. Bathrooms and rooms were clean with fans and with good working internet as well.
Ok location if you want to be near train station, 15-20 minute to historic center. Old building which was cool at night with fan, could use more toilets/showers (only 2 for 1 floor of hotel). Staff was helpful enough. Breakfast was terrible with prepackaged items and a broken coffee machine. DOES NOT HAVE A SWIMMING POOL. I don't know why it's on the website.
Nice helpful and friendly staff with great food recommendations. Room was very small with a shower which was nice although only 2 bathrooms in hall for the entire hotel. Toilet was often dirty as well. Rooms desperately could use fans which would really help out in summer. Lose the little tv, get the rooms a fan! Could be a great hotel/hostel with a little bit of love.
Alessandro and family were wonderful and welcoming. We got off our bus 2 stops early on accident and he came to find us so we didn't get lost. Great view from all rooms with a nice breakfast from Momma! Had an enjoyable stay with this family and would come back again when we have a car to get around Lake Como. Make sure you go to the family butcher shop and try their meat: it's wonderful and they have wine in their shop too!
Chose this hostel because it was near train station: when we got to check-in, they told us our room was 20 minutes by foot! A closer location to center but we'd have preferred nearer to train station ( they have 3 different buildings, 1 of which is air-conditioned). Staff was fine with decent recommendations and good directions to our room. Room was clean. No wifi anywhere, ethernet cables in main hostel. Facilities could be better, expensive to not have coffee, breakfast or internet!
We like Wombats hostels although we preferred the Berlin one quite a bit. Clean, spacious rooms with a bar downstairs. Some rooms quite noisy because you're directly above busy street. Could use more fans in hot summer! One common room that was air-conditioned but never any place to sit! Internet was at best spotty because everyone was using it constantly. Need more wifi available. Staff was helpful and gave good food, beer, and tour recommendations.
Great location if you want to eat good, cheap food in a funky neighborhood! Close to the best currywurst stand and terrific asian restaurants! Great top floor bar with good happy hour. Rooms very clean with lots of space (they don't overcrowd in this big hostel). Breakfast was good although the coffee was awful (3.80 euro was worth it). Our favorite Wombats hostel by far. Would come back again.
Easy place to get to in a great location! Super clean with laundry and kitchen facilities. Good friendly staff that offer a free breakfast (but make sure to give them a little something in donation for it) with superb coffee! Could use another working toliet as there is only 1 working for 20+ people located strangely in the kitchen. Overall nice place that we'd stay in again.
Overall nice, clean hostel. Check the office hours before you arrive since it's only open certain times. Has a great outdoor patio and fridge in room but could use a common are inside. Wifi only works in certain areas, we sat on the floor in the hallway to use it but....it did work.
Staff was very helpful with restaurant and day-trip recommendations. We enjoyed our stay just fine although the hotel is a bit outdated and we stayed in a different building without wifi for our computer which would have been helpful. Overall an average/good experience

just your bare-bones hostel, not a lot of extra stuff. good price except on weekends (much more pricey). showers are hot and internet works but don't expect anything special
good location, nice price, free wireless but internet costs more for their computers. friendly, helpful staff. showers sucked but were warm for some of the time. decent location and cheap bike rentals. also a nice bar there that has the cheapest beer in bruges.
nice hotel, right off the grand place square. comfortable, clean rooms and nice staff. good breakfast and bag storage if you leave later and right next to central train station.
don't stay here in winter, absolutely freezing. our window leaked too so it was breezy. they gave us extra blankets but we couldn't even sit in our room without our winter jackets on. the wireless internet didn't work and staff wasn't very helpful on the whole. there is no cafe here and the common room is only on one floor with one computer. wouldn't stay here ever again
although not the greatest hostel in prague, you can't beat the locaion if you want to be in the heart of prague. nice, very helpful staff and good security. not a updated hostel but clean enough with hot water, free internet, and coffee
although it was a quiet hostel, we stayed here with another couple and had a great time. the staff was excellent, let me pay with a combo of hungarian and euros, gave excellent food, bar and club recommendations and provided us with a great kitchen. may not be the most fun or young hostel in budapest, but a great place to get a good nite's sleep in a terrific location. would go back anytime
About a 15-20 walk to downtown, but the hostel itself was fun, had a great kitchen and areas to get together and free wifi. it was clean and quiet at nite and we had a great time here. would go back anytime
a hotel, not a hostel, excellent and helpful staff, good location by bus and train staion (5 min walk from either) free wifi, and ensuite rooms. loved faro and wouldn't go to another hotel here. decent prices for what you get.
Really a pension, not a hostel. excellent location if you're willing to walk to be in the old center of town. great dutch breakfast and friendly staff although not a very happening place or good place to meet fellow young travelers. would recommend as a quiet, nice place.
great staff, most were very helpful. would def. recommend the dinner for 8 euros though, we had only a few people but the food was great. good location, easy to get to and super clean and tidy. would def. go back
staff was great, had good recommendations and very helpful. good location but not fabulous although the rooftop deck made up for that! very clean with lots of cafes and bars down the road. really enjoyed staying here and wouldnºt go to a different hostel in seville!
great location, 5 minutes to the mezquite and tapas bars, friendly and very helpful staff and terrific rooftop terrace with a kitchen for all your wine/beer needs! would def. go back
Really helpful staff. we had to pay cash (credit card machine wasn't working) but we wouldn't have cash until monday and let us pay later. location is good although 10 minute walk to albycin neighborhod but the tapa bars in this neighborhood were better! quieter hostel and super clean.
kenmare is a nice, small town and this hostel is perfect for those just wanting to experience the town. no frills or breakfast but it's location is great and Kenmare has more then enough nice places to eat and visit.
if someone who was staying there didn't let us in or borrow her phone to call the propery manager, we would have had to sleep outside all night! He came home after about 10 minutes to get us settled and then went straight back at to a bar.
