A fire breakout destroyed a few houses nearby and the hostel lost wi-fi (otherwise fine), the owner was very kind to give me back the deposit and let me to look for other hostels instead. The location is good as it's close to the major wats in the western part of the city and not far from the Mekong river and you can observe the alms giving ceremony right in front of the hostel every morning.
The hostel itself it very good. However, a male guest and a female guest had too much FUN in the shower room from 3am to 4am, and then moved on to lay in the same bed in the 8-bed dorm and continue to have FUN after 4am. VERY loud. The hostel should stop selling alcohol after midnight.
Located at the heart of Seoul, this hostel is within walking distance to major sites in Seoul and a subway station is right around the corner. Super clean room and facilities. Free wi-fi and computer. However, my laptop (Windows) couldn't connect to its wi-fi network and you can't really use the computers there(and in whole Korea) if you can't read Korean.
A standard western-style hostel(most other Korean guesthouses are much smaller) without breakfast, clean and no-frills, located near a subway station. Wi-fi is super-fast.
Great breakfast, near a supermarket and several 24-hr convenience stores.
Located in embassy area with lots restaurants and bars, Chinese, Indian, Pakistani, Turkish, Japanese, Korean...Great for nightlife as you don't have to walk far. In the same building of the hostel, you can find a nice Karaoke bar and three restaurants including a very affordable one. The hostel itself is clean and warm with lots of travellers from all over the world, great atmosphere to socialize. People who work at the hostel are extremely nice and speak English very well. Great facilities.
A simple and clean hostel located in the quiet North Pattaya where the beach is not nearly as crowded as other parts of Pattaya beach and it's only 10 Baht ride away from the commercial and entertainment center. The owners of the hostel are very nice people.
It looks clean but there is bed bugs (I got a line of 10 insanely itchy bites caused by maybe one bed bug, i had an upper berth) not to mention numerous mosquitoes at the showers and toilets.
A very clean newly renovated hotel near the tourist centre of Fethiye. The terrace/restaurant has a great view of the harbour.
Not far from Taksim Square. Several supermarkets are nearby. Spacious dorm and rooftop.Very clean.
Just north of Little India with a lot of cheap shopping opportunities, not far from MRT. The dorm is spacious, clean and safe with a big locker.
pros: easy access to Manhattan by public transit; clean and spacious dorm cons:wi-fi is weak in room, right next to a highway, so it's quite noisy at night.
Everything is perfect if you don't mind the high price.
Simply the best hostel in the world. Everything is perfect although it's also the most expensive hostel I've stayed at in the whole world.
A clean hostel not far from the mall. You can walk to all the tourist sites. The free breakfast is quite good too. There is only one old and small elevator and is very very slow. Use the stairs.
Very nice owners. Located in a very safe area of Houston, walking distance from downtown. Free breakfast, wi-fi, computer. Nice common area where you can met people from all around the world. Small but very nice, old but clean.
This is a cool place. It has everything you need. They even have a swimming pool. Breakfast is not included. The place is quite old though. The location is good because it's 20 meters away from a streetcar stop which goes to French Quarter. The daypass costs only $3
I had to call the owner to get a homeless guy who claimed to be the night shift manager to open the door. He insisted me to pay the full fare and said the 10% deposit was paid to hostelworld, not them. Later, he moved me to 31 Grange Avenue and the lady there asked me to pay a "tax" which is exact the 10% deposit I paid to hostelworld. That's just the beginning. The worst of all is that the place at 31 Grange Avenue is full of begbugs. I was covered with bedbug bites the next day.bloody scene.
The night shift manager working there looks like a homeless guy. He told me that I had to pay the full amount of $16 a night or leave although I explained that I had paid a 10% deposit to hostelworld. He told me that money was paid to hostelworld, not the hostel. This place is filthy. I was covered with bed bug bites the next morning. They are still itchy after so many days. Should I sue the hostel? I think they should by shutdown by Health Toronto.
The hostel has a kitchen that can save you a lot of money :)
Located in a poor area of Athens, though not far from tourist attractions. There's a kitchen guests can use, a TV, a computer, free wi-fi. Some rooms have balcony.
There are many buses to the hotel. A Light Rail system is under construction at the street in front to the building. So it's a little messy at the moment. A supermarket and some restaurants are just downstairs. Free wifi, free kitchen, free drinking water. Felt very safe here. Great staff.
The hotel is located in an apartment building. It has a kitchen. There are restaurants and a supermarket nearby. The entrance of the building is hard to find for new guests though. There are bues routes to everywhere in Zhuhai.
The hostel is not far from Metro lines and supermarkets. The free breakfast buffet includes both Chinese and western food. However, there's often some people smoke at the restaurant in the evening.
You can enjoy a (near) 360 degree view of the harbour area at the balcony. The room is spacious and clean. The hostel has a kitchen and serve free breakfast. Very close to the ferry terminal. A supermarket is downstairs(although food prices are extremely high for Malaysia)
Near the State Mosque and State Museum, the city centre is also within walking distance. Free breakfast, free wifi. Although the wifi is too slow to use most of the time.
The wi-fi was unstable and very slow. Other than that, this place is perfect. Free breakfast, spacious common room.
Easy bus access from the airport, close to major tourist sites, not far from downtown(You can walk there)
A very good hostel. The state mosque is nearby. The downtown heart is within walking distance. They charge RM10/stay for the locker. The wi-fi is unstable and slow.
Well-connected by buses; Great cheap food nearby; Top's Supermarket is also very close; Cold and hot drinking water are provided. There are always quite some smokers in the house though.
I wish there was wi-fi at the hotel. Other than that, this place is almost perfect.
A very clean apartment hostel/hotel. Excellent location for shopping. iPhone 4S black market is right downstairs in the same building. Streets for Electronics, Shoes are right beside the building. The only thing I didn't like was that fact that there was no lockers at the hostel.
A good apartment style hostel. Very clean; spacious living room; free wi-fi; nice owner and staff. The only thing that need to improve is that lockers should be provided.
When I booked my bed on hostelworld.com, I selected the arrival time as 5pm and the staff showed up to open the door at 5pm sharp.
