Nice place with friendly, very helpful staff. A little run down, but dorms were large with air-con, there's an OK kitchen, and good breakfast. Nice terrace for enjoying a beer from the bar. Not much atmosphere when we stayed, but it was off season, so quiet. Bit of an uphill walk to get there, but easily walkable to all of Pelo's sights. Nice good place to relax for a few days.

More like a hotel than a hostal. Double room was spacious, warm, comfy bed, fantastic shower in en-suite. Room cleaned daily, breakfast fantastic, great outside areas incl roof terrace and pool table. Bad stuff - shuttle we booked from airport never arrived, and no apology given when we eventually got to hostal via taxi, staff not overly helpful, cafe closed, no kitchen, very little atmosphere as no-one seemed to use the (very good) communal areas. Still v good choice if dont mind no atmosphere.

Loved this place! Small and friendly hostel, in good location, not too far up hill. Our double room was huge, with tv, wardrobe, drawers and fan. Kitchen small, but decent and ok breakfast. Helpful staff and chilled atmosphere, and great micro brewery at the end of the street. Definitely recommend

Arrived to be welcomed by super friendly and laid back José and were upgraded to private bathroom. In fact out "room" felt more like a cabin, as was at the back if the garden, separate from main building. Kitchen and inside living space ok, but awesome outside terrace with great view of volcano. Very friendly vibe here, even though we stayed outside peak season, so wasn't that busy. Would definitely come back! Recommend if looking for cool, chilled place to meet people and have a few beers.

Staff member we saw was not overly friendly, kitchen tiny with no oven, one shower broken so only one for whole hostel, not enough lockers in dorm, fairly poor breakfast, whole place seemed pretty run down. Decent outside space though, and cosy (though small) lounge/dining area.
Dear guest: We are sorry to hear that our hostel didn't fit your needs. We appreciate your comments and are working hard to improve our procedures and facilities. Although I wanted to mention that I am a little confused with some of them because our kitchen is about 18 mt2 and we do no not have a fire stove in it, but we do have a gas stove with an oven that our guests are more than welcome to use any time.

Small and homely guesthouse, with welcoming hosts and great breakfast. Bit of a language barrier due to our very poor Spanish, but owners helped us as much as possible. Room was small, but cosy, and everything very clean. Felt a bit like staying at your Grandma's house! We arrived late and only stayed 1 night, but enjoyed out stay.

Fantastically welcoming and friendly owner, helped us arrange bus tickets and rented us gear for Torres del Paine. Large dorms, comfy beds, very good and individual showers with lots of space. Kitchen might be a little small if busy, but large dining area, plus lounge area with TV. Complimentary tea and coffee included. Good security, incl lockers in room, and luggage storage. Would definitely stay again.

A very welcoming and friendly hostel, with excellent hot breakfast included, and very appreciated cup of tea/coffee on arrival! Dorm was a little tight on space, and toilets and showers could have been better (some didn't lock properly) but the staff made up for that. Small but cosy lounge area, and basic but decent kitchen. Comfy beds and all very clean.

Though not overly friendly, Alba was very helpful when we arrived, especially given our lack of Spanish. She provided a map of the town, told us how to get to the centre and where things were, and arranged a tour for us. Room we stayed in was lovely, with towels and toiletries incl. Although no kitchen, there was a fridge where we could store food. Breakfast was delicious and shower's were hot, and although a little further out of town, it's only about a 15min walk. Overall, a very pleasant stay

Nice big dorm rooms, with large lockers and air con. Doors beeped a lot every time they were opened and rooms right next to bar area, so very noisy throughout the night. Pool was nice, but could have used some shaded areas. Staff were friendly and free internet good, but not much atmosphere.

Kitchen facilities were non-existant. No plates, no forks, no cooking utensils. Free breakfast was OK, but difficult to eat without any of the above. Hostel was also pretty dirty, and rooms were very cramped. It is very cheap though, so you get what you pay for I guess. Won't be coming back though.

Very flash hostel! Everything spotless, great kitchen and common area, meals provided several nights each week, free wifi, secure lockers in rooms. Very relaxed place, but not much of an atmosphere. Only other problem is it's a bit out of the main town (30 mins walk to Hastings Street and beach) and the last shuttle bus is at 6pm. Other than that, great place to stay.

OK hostel. Was clean and some of the staff were really helpful. Others not so much, and there was no welcome or info given on check in. Not really that sociable although they do take part in the Backpackers Big Night Out. Didn't think much of that though as bars weren't great. Lacked atmosphere, and it was only the people I met here that made the stay worth while.

Loved this hostel! Had really unique and chilled out atmosphere. Fun activities every day, bar next door, cafe on site. Is a bit out of town, but only 15 mins walk, and there are regular shuttles throughout the day. Was clean, has friendly staff, and is sociable without being a party hostel. Would definitely stay here again.
Thanks for the awesome review Karen, we hope to see you again soon !
