Istanbul Harmony Hostel

Our stay at Harmony Hostel was excellent. The staff looked after us very well. We were served a tasty breakfast by friendly staff every morning, and after returning from long days sight seeing in Istanbul, could relax and play backgammon and drink tea with Mahmood (staff member) on the rooftop balcony. No bunk beds was great.

Short walk from the main bus stop, not a cave hostel but surrounded by the rock formations. The staff were friendly and breakfast was good, single beds were also comfy. The main problem was the lack of hot water, we showered three times and never had more than warm water. Wouldn't be a problem anytime after April though as it is warm enough anyway. Overall a comfy and relaxed place to stay, and I'm sure during summer it would be great to sit by the pool and enjoy the rock valley surroundings.

We stayed 4 nights in a 10 bed dorm. The beds were comfy and there was large lockers for all our gear. Breakfast was delicious and plenty to eat. One of the staff members was friendly and helpful while the other not so much. A comfy place to stay in a central location.

We stayed 4 nights in an 8 bed dorm. It was a great hostel with welcoming staff and a good atmosphere. The facilities were good including the kitchen and hot water. The breakfast is just cereal, but there is a toaster there if you buy a loaf of bread. We would definitely recommend Kismet Dao!

Great staff, a great little hostel. Beds were comfy, beds had curtains and lamps, lockers in the rooms. The atmosphere downstairs is good, and they can recommend some good food places too. Highly recommended.

A lovely family rents out the rooms above their flat. We had a large double bed in a huge room with a (little) balcony. The price is great, it is a two minute walk to the main bus station and a 10-15min walk into town. There was plenty of hot water, the only problem we had was the small kitchen. We had planned to cook dinner but it was difficult as there is only one cooktop, and no kettle or toaster or microwave. Apart from that we had a great stay there and would recommend it for a budget stay.

Shanti Hostel Bitola

Bitola, Macedonia
100%

We had a great stay in Bitola with Shanti Hostel. The facilities were good, including the kitchen. It's only a two minute walk off the main street and a cab from the bus station was just over one euro. The staff were super friendly and able to give good advice about the area and places to go out. They recommended some Macedonian food at a restaurant that was so delicious (melted cheese in the oven)! Highly recommended.

Hostel Villa Angelina Old Town

Dubrovnik, Croatia
83%

A small hostel in the old town, one of only few affordable places within the old town walls. The rooms are small, but the beds are comfy and the place has everything you need, including a kitchen. We were recommended some good budget eats, and places to see while there. A good place for a couple of nights stay, and Dubrovnik is too expensive to stay any longer anyway.

Travellers Home Hostel

Sarajevo, Bosnia And Herzegovina

We stayed in an 8 bed dorm for 4 nights. The bunks were wooden (quiet) and comfy, and there was plenty of space and a big locker each. The kitchen was good for cooking, the bathrooms were clean, the only problem we had was there is only one male and one female shower, and not much hot water for the guys. The staff recommended some great places to eat on a budget, and also organised a day of snowboarding and skiing (we were there in February) that was super cheap. Highly recommended.

Hostel Miran

Mostar, Bosnia And Herzegovina

We had a great stay with Miran! We stayed 3 nights in a 6 bed dorm, with all the basics you need. It is only a short walk from the bus station, Miran came to walk us there, and it is only 10-15 mins through cafe filled streets and the old town to the famous bridge. We recommend Miran's all day tour, which included so many different places and information about culture and the war. A memorable stay!

Apinelo Hostel

Split, Croatia

We stayed here during the off season and had a great time. The staff were friendly and helpful, the place is kept very clean, and our twin room was perfect. The dorms looked spacious as well. It was a great location from the main bus station, and less than 5 minutes into the palace or onto the promenade. Only problem may be having to wait for a shower if the hostel was full in summer, however not a problem for us! We recommend this hostel.

Nap Hostel Pecs

Pecs, Hungary

Had a great stay here in Pecs. Staff were friendly and helpful and the bar downstairs was a good place to hang out. The kitchen didn't have a microwave or toaster, but there was a gas stove and bench space for cooking, and utensils. The bunks were wooden, quiet and comfy and the room was warm. Overall the place was clean, however under the beds were quite dusty. We would recommend this hostel.

We stayed in the 9 bed dorm and it didn't have any space for luggage. Stepping on everyone's toes all the time. It was a good enough hostel for one night to catch a train from Victoria the next day, but I wouldn't stay more than that in the 9 bed dorm.

The hostel was in a great location near the station and centre of town. Our beds were comfortable, however the hallway and common room didn't smell very good. The toaster didn't work and when I told somebody about it they didn't offer a solution and it wasn't fixed or replaced the next day again. There was a build up of dust under the beds and a free for all food shelf in the kitchen that needed some attention. If the hostel was cleaned properly it would have been a much better stay.

There is a timber wall around the beds making it hard to move and I hit my elbows and knees on the sides frequently. The lady in reception sold us a BerlinWelcomeCard. We asked 3 times if it gave us entry to museum island,we thought me may have to pay more for that. She insisted that it did, but then when we tried to enter the Pergamon were told we needed a different ticket. We were also given a card with our room cards that said there is free wifi throughout the hotel, then had to pay 3euro...

A very comfortable place to stay, within walking distance of the main train station. There were several good restaurants close by, and it is also close enough to walk to sights and attractions. We stayed for several nights and had no problems or complaints while we were there. An enjoyable stay.

Noise restrictions need to be enforced. We had to get up early for a flight and the room next to us had very very loud music with bass that we felt in our room until 1am.
