Right in the middle of the old town! the bar and the rooms were great with bathrooms on every floor. despite the efforts put into the directions, the hostel was still difficult to find. I would recommend this hostel

This is a large hostel so it is difficult to have much character. High turnover of people who stay here as topdeck, busabout and contiki use this hostel. Very clean and spacious rooms though and the trams run down the street making getting around pretty easy despite not being in the city centre.

Very clean and comfortable hostel with daily and nightly activities if you want to get involved. Easy to get to the shops and metro by walking. Security was so tight that even after I had checked out I wasn't allowed to visit my friends who I was traveling with!

The staff were so friendly and were always around to help. They also provided a fantastic breakfast and dinner!! I was only there one night but found it easy to get to the ado terminal and to get buses to the hotel zone. Pretty warm in the rooms but they do put on the airconditioning at night which helps

This hostel is very comfortable with a great breakfast and bar. Shower pressure is fantastic for central America standards and getting a discount at the bike rental place is a great way to get to the beach, ruins and cenotes. Would recommend

This hostel has live music every night so as long as you don't mind noise until very late it is a great hostel that has a fantastic beach feel. Good facilities with the bar and breakfast

I had a private room as I didn't trust the reviews and I'm glad I did as there were some odd people staying at the hostel. The bedding was not that clean and the whole building was pretty shabby. I was able to walk into the city centre and the staff were very helpful and friendly

The sheets, bedding and mattress were extremely old and dirty. The entire building was shabby. It is very close to the beach which is a plus

As long as you have a car the location is excellent..right across the beach. Beautiful staff who can't do enough to make you feel right at home and answer any questions. The most homely hostel I've stayed in!

Quite a large hostel but the staff were very friendly. the room i was in was pretty small but the beds were large. it is sort of within walking distance to the shopping area but not really that close to touristy sites but there are bus stops nearby. san fran is a pretty cool place

i met some great people here and santa monica is a great area but it is still a typical H.I hostel...large and slightly lacking in character but at least they are always reliable and the staff at this one were quite helpful

I really felt at home at this hostel so when I came back to New York I stayed here again. Really nice staff, free breakfast available all day and fantastic location between Times Square and Central Park. It is a smaller hostel so it is easy to meet people :)

Really nice hostel. Walking distance from the main part of town. Could do with some more ventilation in the bathrooms so they weren't always damp but the staff made an effort to make me feel right at home. Nice big kitchen and free breakfast :)

A big hostel with all the facilites. Although the internet didn't always work. I have stayed there a couple of times now so I would recommend it as it is clean and easy to walk everywhere from it.

Really friendly and helpful staff and close to the metro lines to get into the centre of town. Only had a lamp in the room as there was a problem with the electrics but it was the weekend so contractors might have been difficult to find?

Possibly in need of some mattress upgrades but apart from that it is very colourful and very easy to walk in and out of town and to trains and buses.
