It's located in the heart of miraflores near god restaurants, shops and markets. The beds and bathrooms are nice and clean. My room was off the terrace next to the bar, so a little loud at times. The security could be beefed up during the day...

Loki del Mar

Amazing resort style hostel right on the beach. It could get pretty loud at night but that would be my only complaint on the nights I wasn't partying myself. The rooms and beds were large. Only issue would be the staff are often travellers themselves so weren't always the most helpful, but who cares when you're in beach paradise...

The staff at manso were amazing when my friend was very ill. Cannot speak highly enough about them! The hostel itself is very clean and comfortable. Lovely view over the waterfront and interesting artistic pieces throughout. Definitely recommend!!!

Artistic hostel with pleasant but cold rooms. Wifi and hot water was intermittent. Free eggs for breakfast for the early risers. Staff seemed a little swamped at times but very helpful.

The hostel is a little further away from town but not by much. The toilets and showers weren't that clean, bins needed emptying more often, no toilet paper. There are no lockers in the rooms. Loved the amount of hammocks and the delicious cheese croissants for breakfast.

Hostal El Refugio

Pucon, Chile

The hostel was a lot of fun and the staff were super helpful and accommodating. The inside kitchen is very small though, which made cooking a bit tough. The bedrooms were very cold but the beds themselves were large and had plenty of covers. Please note that breakfast isn't included because so many people do the volcano trek, leaving very early. Enjoyed my stay at el rufugio and would definitely recommend it.

We LOVED this hostel! It's small and relaxed with lots of communal spaces both indoor and out. It's very clean and the staff make you feel right at home. The 4-dorm is spacious and light, as is the whole hostel. Easily the best hostel we've stayed in (out of about 16 hostels we've stayed in so far).

El Viajero - Hostel & Suites

Bed bugs!!! Woke up covered in approx 70 bites. Found bugs on my bed covers and told the guy at reception who didn't handle the situation very well. Put me in an empty 6 bed dorm which had dead bugs on one bed and live ones on two others. Didn't apologize or anything. Positives for the hostel included a good kitchen and the guy who welcomed us when we arrived was very helpful and friendly. Colonia is a nice town but this hostel needs to sort out it's bed bug problem!

Milhouse Hipo

Milhouse hipo is an absolute party hostel, with parties, and clubs to visit each night. Due to this, it can get loud! Also has really wide array of organized tour activities. The staff are fantastic, Pablo was the very best, greeting us like family each time we came in. Had a lot of fun at this hostel but not a lot of sleep.

Really clean hostel like a little hotel. Very friendly staff. Wifi a little annoying given that you have to enter a long series of numbers quite frequently and I often misplaced the card with the numbers! Maybe some DVDs and some more storage areas in rooms. Would definitely stay again though.

Had a great time staying at hostel galaria 13. The common areas are a little small and eating inside was a little tough when it rained. Also I could not manage to get the water hot in the shower. But all in all a fantastic hostel which I will definitely recommend to all.

yeh well we all hope its not going to rain in Salvador so without the garden area to gather its a little too cozy inside perhaps ,but at least you get to meet everybody quick quick

We booked in for one night and ended up staying five! Loved it! The only bad thing was the lighting in the Geriba room, it was very dim and we all had to use torches!

The Hostel Project Buzios

Hi, we stayed only one night. Unfortunately it was too far from the nightlife and town centre for our liking. We weren't given a key so felt obligated to come back at midnight to get let in.the place is nice and relaxed but there were a few little things like the bunk ladders are very painful to climb up and it was very cramped for 4 people and their gear.
