New York Budget Inn

The place is new, it's in a cool location, the staff is great, and it's cheap. They also offer free filtered water which I think really rocks. Other than that, don't plan on spending much time there, or try not to. More than half the size of the room were the beds. There were no windows in our room so it was always dark. Good air conditioning and fan, and a small TV. For $85 for two people- It's the right price point. For $50 more you could do better elsewhere, but worth it if on a budget.

Very new hostel in a perfect location (if you are in the partying mood) - otherwise it can be a bit loud as it literally sits in the heart of a bar district. Good firm beds, nice common area, and very nice kitchen (although a lot of it was locked up). Only wi-fi in the common areas and not in the rooms but worked well. Excellent roof top patio. Good breakfast and good vibe in the morning.

Good clean place. Nice welcome presentation on good maps from owner couple. It runs like a well oiled machine -- can't complain other than cost for baggage storage and if you need a shower before you leave. Nothing for free here. Maybe a bit expensive but know its always clean, good wi fi, air con, toast/coffee in morning

Hi Mark.. Thank you for staying with us and your kind review... Nothing for free? What about FREE WIFI? FREE Internet and FREE Breakfast and FREE Aircon during the DAY? The nominal fee charges are clearly stated on the terms and conditions and copy of which is pasted in the room.

Botique hotel. Rather new place, in an area of development. Decent but short walk to nice beaches. Nice people running the place. Coffee/tea in room each day. Daily maid service. TV/cable, good wi fi. Not a party scene unless your into Thai hookers in which this hotel/location could be ideal. Prostitution clearly employs a lot of women in Phuket.

A good hotel conveniently across from Hua Lamphong Train Station and MRT Metro Stop. Appears to be a bit dodgy at first, plenty of hassling tuk tuk drivers and at night hookers set up shop across the street but it really is safe with a busy typical Bangkok street bustling in front. If you want the Backpackers mecca type catering with western food and feel -- stay at Khao San Road area. Good helpful staff. We had the deluxe balcony room which was great, good wi-fi, but a bit noisy from busy street. Great foo

Good location, although perhaps a bit sketchy. Best thing about hostel: the most comfortable beds and pillows. Big room is dark, but can get very hot at night. 6 bed dorm is very light in the morning. Mens bathroom a bit small but works. Breakfast solid. Nice rooftop. Solid place

We arrived on Christmas eve and while the entire hostel was about to have a large dinner, and no one had the decency to ask us if we wanted to particpate. We then had the difficult time of finding overpriced food from what was still open at this time of night. The room was set up very poorly. Only enough room to walk between the beds, the bathroom also was very small and poor. We left as soon as we could. Would not recommend this hostel.
