Loved the Oddsson! It's a bit of walk from the city center (15-20 minutes) but definitely walkable, and it has stunning views of the sea/harbor. The common area is large but laid out cozily. Beds were comfy, heating was adequate in December, and staff were great. Only cons were that the lockers didn't actually lock, you were able to turn/open them after the locks were "secured," and the light sensor in the women's bathroom didn't work, leaving one to shower in the dark! Still, highly recommend.

Hostel Mali Mrak was absolutely wonderful! If time had allowed, I would've stayed for weeks if not months. It's one of those special places that make you want to never leave - everyone is warm, welcoming, relaxed, and just simply lovely. Facilities are clean, kitchen has everything you need and the common areas are super comfortable and cozy (and a bit of a time suck...!) Will miss Igor & everyone tons, hope to be back soon!

One of the best hostels I've stayed at. Clean, comfortable, plenty of hot water, and the staff are awesome and help you with everything. If you're coming to El Calafate you must stay here.

Clean and comfortable beds, breakfast was what I've found at all Argentine hostels and plentiful (bread, jams, butter, dulce de leche of course, coffee, milk, tea, juice etc.) Guy at reception could have been a bit friendlier but he was more than helpful when I came to him with questions, and otherwise absolutely no complaints. The location is fabulous, there was plenty of hot water, and I never had to wait for a shower. Would recommend!
