Eco Pampa feels like my home from home in Buenos Aires. The staff are incredibly friendly and very helpful, even to a demanding and spoilt gringo like me. The communal area is massive, and there`s a fantastic roof garden, which is the best spot to chill. The bathrooms can get a bit busy during the morning, but the place is kept really clean. A very professionally run and well organised hostel, with an excellent location in the heart of Palermo Soho. Highly recommended
The best thing about this hostel is the location, with amazing hiking right on your doorstep. The place is a bit big and anonymous, but you`ll still be able to meet people who want to explore the stunning mountains and glaciers around El Chalten with you. It`s a little pricey, and there`s no breakfast included, but it does the job while you get ready to explore some of the most glorious scenery you`ll ever see.
Nakel Yenu is a really good place to stay while you check out El Calafate and the nearby Perito Moreno Glacier. Nacho and the rest of the staff were really helpful in organising whatever tour I wanted to do, and they made me feel very much at home, especially when I came back from El Chalten. The hostel has an intimate atmosphere, so it`s easy to make friends, and the separate kitchen area allows you to party without disturbing anyone! Really good music too! Well worth staying there!
Eco Pampa is right in the heart of Palermo Soho, which makes it the perfect location to experience Buenos Aires. You certainly won´t get bored here. The staff are really friendly and helpful, allowing you to get the most from your time here. The facilities are really good, and the roof terrace is a delight on a hot evening (so almost all summer). The hostel also makes an effort to recycle. Eco Pampa is very social, but is not really a party hostel, it´s more a place to relax in this hectic city.
Karisma is an excellent place to stay. The location is superb, being only 3 blocks from the beach, and in an area where it's east to meet other travellers. The staff are especially helpful and friendly, whether it's your first time in Rio or you're an old hand. The breakfast was great, there being lots of fruit, as well as the expected bread, coffee and jam. Thanks Karisma, for making me feel right at home in one of the world's most exciting cities.
Palermo House is the only place to stay if you want to get straight to the heart of Palermo Soho, with its cool restaurant scene and buzzing nightlife. Like a microcosm of the neighbourhood itself, the hostel`s graffiti covered walls and huge communal area provide the perfect environment to dive straight into BA`s thrilling party scene. If you prefer the quiet life, then Palermo House might not be for you, but those of more social nature will be able to have fun every night of the week.
Urban Buddha is quite simply an outstanding hostel. The house has an amazing design, and the garden is the perfect place to while away an afternoon, ideally in the hammock! The facilites are excellent, with lots of communal space and enough bathrooms for all the guests. Martin and his staff are really helpful and friendly. Be warned, this is not a party hostel. The location is in a very quiet and safe residential area, but Medellin`s buzzing nightlife is only a walk or taxi ride away.
Sunflower is a really relaxed and friendly hostel. The communal space helps the guests socialise and the hostel´s design means you can get away from it all in the upstairs area. The staff are really welcoming and helpful. You´ll definitely enjoy your time here!
A lovely place to stay and very friendly staff! Worth the extra expense to stay somewhere really special!
A good place to stay....the hostel has a huge roof terrace and a decent kitchen, which makes it really easy to mingle with the other guests. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and the rooms are very clean and new. The location is a bit industrial, but you can get to the beach with a 10 minute walk, and Old Jaffa isn't far away either. If you're a sociable person, this is the place for you!
The staff are extremely friendly and helpful......they were able to tell us the best places to eat in Jerusalem, and what to do to get the most out of our time there. The rooms are pretty varied...we spent one night in a tiny twin room, which was rather noisy, being next to the kitchen, but the rest of the time we had a lovely double room, which was spacious and atmospheric, so definitely worth checking what's available....also, the location is perfect, with the Old City on your doorstep!
If you want five-star, go to the Ritz, at Palermo House the staff are the stars.Consistently friendly, helpful and welcoming, they´ll help you get straight to the heart of life in cool, chic Palermo Soho! Be prepared to party and socialise, this is definitely a hostel for people who like to enjoy Argentina´s thrilling "vida de la noche". The roof terrace is the focal point of the hostel....catch some sun by day, by night chill under the cooler temperatures....I´ll be back for more fun soon!
If you want to have a fun, social time Ipanema Wave is a great option - Alex (the manager) is the man! He'll tell you all you need to know about where to go and what to do in Rio! The location is excellent......and you'll certainly meet lots of new friends from the neighbouring hostels too.....
