It was a lovely chilled out atmosphere when I was there, family run, really hospitable and welcoming, great home cooked meals, easy to meet people.
Great views, super lovely family run this place, can get breakfast or dinner on request. The views are worth the bit if a walk up the hill, good location about halfway between old city and the new port. The only down side is that it's not the cleanest hostel I've stayed in and the kitchen could do with a few more utensils for self catering.
I had a great stay here and would stay again. I think its in a fantastic area, on the Piccadilly line, near Kensington High St, can walk to Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park in about 20 minutes. The staff were really helpful. The only bad thing was the bathrooms were a little manky, could do with better ventilation and a spruce up, and better power socket access for top bunks.
I enjoyed my stay and would stay here again. The staff were friendly and helpful and the hostel is in a great location, obviously handy to the station, and well located to get to the sights. The only annoying thing was the female toilet on my floor was out of order so had to go down to the next floor, and the shower was temperamental in that it started off scalding hot, fortunately if eventually cooled down to a safer temperature.
The staff were friendly and it has a cosy communal area to hang out. It's a work in progress being renovated, still missing the little details like mirrors over the sinks and my dorm didn't have curtains, but what they have done so far looks really good. Good location.
Luxury, nicest hostel ever stayed in, clean, spacious rooms, helpful staff, I just wouldn't recommend trying to do laundry here. This is nicer than some hotels i've stayed in!
