party hostel +++ great if thats your thing but maybe give it a miss if its not. fantastic location close to south beach and not far from lincoln mall. bit squishy in the 6 bed dorm once you add luggage. rooms are cleaned regularly but the facilities are not very modern. beds are pretty uncomfortable and pillows should be replaced. although 3 meals are provided you can only eat them for a few days before your sick of it. parties organised every night of the week...bring heels, its pretentious...
a large modern hostel in a great location. always felt safe at night. very clean and spacious in the 6 bed dorm. bathrooms were a plenty and clean. common areas were excellent. free breakfast had enough variety to find something you'd like. security was high. lots of organised activities both during the day and at night. staff fairly helpful.
Great location. Dorms are spacious. Sometimes there is a bathroom shortage so you may need to check another floor. Kitchen is basic and small. Free breakfast is very generous with multiple options.
A very homely hostel. Most people seemed to be living there. Dorm rooms fet more like bedrooms. Bathrooms were clean but there was only 2 showers that I noticed. Kitchen was way too small although well stocked with pots and pans etc. Security was poor. Anyone could wander into your room as they weren't looked however there was lockers for bags. We booked 2 people in a female dorm and they tried to put us in the same (double) bed so maybe just clarify this when booking.

The hostel is not actually in Jasper which was disappointing. The hostel itself was ok - clean dorm (28 beds was quite big thou), bathrooms were pretty good (only 3 showers so wouldn't want to be there when its full) and the kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans and utensils. The lights off at 11 pm and back on at 8am was annoying especially when we wanted to go to bed earlier. The morning we left the power also kept failing. I preferred the wilderness hostel we stayed in at Maligne Canyon.

fabulous location in the downtown area. well lit at night and quite safe. 4 bed dorm was spacious and bathrooms were very clean. kitchen was acceptable and the free breakfast each morning was very generous with multiple options. staff were very helpful and friendly. slightly unusual vibe. may have just been some of the characters staying there. not the most exciting hostel but pretty good for a few nights. rumour is that eric's tours are incredible...maybe next time...
An absolutely stunning hostel experience. Super clean. The whole place is vacuumed and bathrooms scrubbed daily. Great breakfast until 1pm plus free rice and popcorn anytime. The location is really good. - Kensington Market is a very cool area. Staff were very friendly and always helpful. Only downside is the room was a bit squishy...easy to overlook thou as the rest of the place is superb especially the rooftop with its stunning views of the Toronto skyline.
I was really disappointed with this hostel - especially as it is endorsed by HI. The location is very poor - about 4kms from the falls and the surrounding neighbourhood is dead with many houses boarded up. the dorm was a reasonable size but the bed was mighty uncomfortable and the linen was old and overused. the bathrooms were few and not particularly clean. the staff were friendly but often hard to find. one had to ring a door bell at the desk to get service. this hostel needs some serious work
a very friendly hostel in an absolutely fabulous location. the staff were very helpful. the hostel felt homey although there were many guests. it did get a little loud at night in the courtyard however this always seemed to end before midnight. the kitchen could do with a bit of a spruce however the dorms and bathrooms were exceptionally clean and well maintained. I had a very comfortable bed. the free breakfast was quite nice too and the wifi worked really well :) would stay here again.
A very large hostel in an absolutely fabulous location. The dorm (6 beds) was a good size - didn't feel overcrowded. Bathrooms were always clean. Kitchen could do with some more equipment but it was large and reasonably functional. The downside to this accommodation was its sheer size and lack of activities meant that the atmosphere was pretty ordinary. Although the bar was open every night there was hardly anyone there. Staff were pretty helpful although they seemed disgruntled with management.
The hostel is highly reminiscent of a jail and the room was like a cell. The room was slightly overcrowded - 6 people plus luggage was too much. Storage was offered but having half your belongings in another place is rather inconvenient. The showers and toilets were always clean. The kitchen was highly functional and the free breakfast every morning was sensational. The staff were not overly helpful but nice enough. The location was absolutely sensational - close to everything you want to see!
hostel was pretty good. just wished it was in a nicer neighbourhood. not an area to walk around alone at night...seriously. the dorm was really nice and spacious. clean amenities. cafe for breakfast was really nice. close to the subway.
The hostel is very close to the metro so access to the major sights is very easy however the area itself also has some beautiful cafes and bars along the canal. On the weekend there is also a market in the next street. The hostel itself is very big but very secure. There always seemed to be someone on the door. The dorm I stayed in was very clean as were the bathrooms. My only complaint is regarding the luggage cages under the beds - they are very noisy. Maybe in need of a little grease?
