Always a pleasure to stay at Urban Retreat, just a shame I had to share a rickety bunk with a fidgety sleeper.
I stayed in a double room which turned out to be a twin with a double bed, score! Room was light and airy, ensuite bathroom was nice aswell. The free snack sized meal is a nice touch too, worth upgrading if you're feeling hungry! 2 bucks for dinner, shouldn't be sniffed at! If your room is situated over the courtyard, take earplugs. It was loud til about midnight on a Sunday with the windows open (it's summer, so obvs!), I imagine it's louder on Friday/Saturday nights. P.S. get a better elevator
The hostel is so nice
Had a lot of fun at this hostel, really nice outside area, perfect for summer. Not far from local amenities, comfy beds.
Really great hostel, comfy beds, nice atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff. I'll be staying again.
Really nice hostel to stay in. Great facilities and staff.
A social hostel in a good location. I think a lot of issues depend on the people who use the place. But some of the bedrooms are incredibly small for the amount of beds, and the beds... I needed a massage after my stay. Very uncomfortable, they obviously get a lot of use. The kitchen is also very small for the amount of people who want to use it. If it wasn't for these, I'd have stayed longer.
Nice hostel, great location. Can be very noisy on Friday/Saturday nights from the bar below - remember ear plugs
Nice place, quite clean and a fairly decent breakfast in the morning, however the staff could sometimes be a bit miserable. Also had to share one key with everyone else in the room which tended to complicate things. There was also no air conditioning, so had to keep the windows open at night resulting in a fair amount of mosquito bites :(
