Neill-Wycik Summer Hostel

Toronto, Canada

Pro's: Rooftop space is nice Con's: This place has a weird atmosphere. The rooms are beyond sparse, and not really clean, you can't walk around in bare feet due to dirt on the floors. The place is huge (22 floors) I feel if they halved the number of rooms and focused on improving half at a time this could be a reasonable place. I wouldn't book in here, there are other hostels in Toronto that are renovated and much nicer.

Yiannis Roussos Villa

Santorini, Greece

The hostel is in a good location, and has a great view. It is very close to one of the bus stops to Oia. The Wifi doesn't work very well at all, I wasn't able to connect to it at any time. If you are coming in on a smaller boat at the other marina, they will not come and pick you up. Also the bus to airport in the morning was 15 minutes late. Sorry to sound like a whiner, but those few things really drove me crazy.

Saigon Mini Hotel 5

Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam

Although the street the hotel is on looks sketchy when you first arrive, you quickly find that it's a perfect place to be, right in the heart of the action, with lots to do right there. The rooms are super clean, the beds were comfortable and the breakfast was great. What more could you ask for.

Dusseldorf, Germany

This was a great hotel, it is positioned vey close to the central station, there are some slightly seedy establishments nearby, however the hotel itself is really nice, the staff very friendly and the breakfast was good too. This is an excellent hotel for given the cost.

The Hague, Netherlands

Excellent breakfast, the sheets provided are fantastic, and the location near the beach is great. The hostel has a great vibe and there are lots of fun people there.

Ryokan Nihonkan

Kyoto, Japan

A fantastic place to stay in Kyoto, it's very close to the station and is a great place to stay if you want to experience some of traditional Japan, like sleeping on futons on tatami mats and showering in their onsen. Highly recommend a stay here.
