Great location, although the staff tends to go away and leave the door locked, so a couple of times during our short stay there was a great stampede of people trying to get in and out :) Also, add 1 euro to the price: it is the tourist tax which is not mentioned here on hostelworld. So, actual price will be 11, not 10 euros per night per person. There is no breakfast. But the facilities are quite clean given that there are so many people using them.
This is not a hostel per se - just a "villa" with apartments to rent, which belongs to a nice woman. So instead of hostel atmosphere expect clean private rooms with condition and excellent facilities. Location is quite good, although there is no breakfast; and beware that neither the hostess nor the receptionist know much English - better try to learn some Albanian words beforehand.
Great classical hostel which has a party atmosphere which nevertheless doesn't prevent you from sleeping quietly after 11 pm. Excellent helpful staff, hearty breakfast and free ice cream, good location. The only drawback is the quality of wi-fi Internet: the router can't handle so many users, and usually connection is slow or non-existent. After the router is reloaded things are much better.
The 4 bed room was really small, there were mosquitoes, and the bathroom was not very clean. Other than that, the hostel's location is all right, and security level is presumably good, given that it's situated near the prime minister's home :)
This is actually a students' dormitory turned into a hostel for the summer, so don't expect party atmosphere here. Location is fantastic, the staff is very helpful, toilets are clean, showers are abundant. Definitely better than overpriced hostels at Sultanahmet, and not worse than Beyoglu hostels.
