Pukalani Hostel

Grounds are gorgeous, each room opening up to the pool and ocean just beyond. Rooms and facilities were super clean (minus the common kitchen, but that's the fault of irresponsible travelers). It's an interesting space in that you can be as social or as solitary as you'd like. Plenty of serene moments, but the nightly group at the hostel bar couldn't be beat! Staff treats guests as if they're family sharing their home. We were given rides to town, FOOD from their family dinners, & lots of hugs!

Luna's Castle Hostel

Basic accommodations. Incredibly loud at night, even if your room is several floors up. Not a lot directly around the hostel. A couple tiny marts and two pricey western restaurants. Even with the lockers, I was always kind of nervous about security, SO MANY people coming in and out through all hours. If you want a party, this is your spot. Looking for something a little more intimate and relaxing? Try elsewhere.

Pans Place Guesthouse

Fine, affordable place to stay for a few nights. Beds were incredibly uncomfortable and rooms could be cleaner. Staff tries to be helpful, but can come off as slightly abrasive while adding their "advice". Internet works well and the on site food was great.

Thank you for your review. We are a budget back packer so the mattresses are not the best . As for he advise ,you could have found out if you had read the folder in the room . It was created so that I don't have to repeat myself dozens of times a day.

Excellent location. Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Great atmosphere and easy to meet fellow travelers. Lived the late night bonfires!! Recommending to everyone I meet along the way.

May Rooms 1 Taipei

Taipei, Taiwan

May Rooms is exceptionally clean, comfortable, cozy, and convenient. The thing that sets May Rooms apart is it's staff. Carol not only made sure we had a great time in Taipei, she also basically organized the rest of our Taiwan vacation. While in Taipei, she met with us each night to go over our itinerary for the following day. She suggested sights as well as coordinated travel. Beyond Taipei, Carol booked hostels for us. She called to make sure we were enjoying ourselves. We loved it!
