This is an incredible accommodation. The host (who happens to live on-site) was extremely helpful and welcoming of us. The bagel was the best outside NYC. Very convenient access to the subway system too.
A basic accommodation in the city pretty close to the train station. Breakfast wasn't free and had to be pre-booked.
Amazing view of the Table Mountain on the second floor. Location is also a plus with a lot to do around and in a safe area. Could do with a power point for the top bunk bed though.
One of the staff speaks minimal English and can be a bit abrupt. Otherwise, this is an OK place to stay in a relatively safe neighbourhood.
Unbeatable location (very close to Metro station, Lapa around the corner, safe neighbourhood) and super helpful staff make this hostel incredible.
A standard HI establishment. Nothing to fault really. Jam packed with activities and people to meet. Need a stronger WiFi in the dorms though. It never really worked properly there.
This is a very cozy hostel/B&B type accommodation made even more incredible by Carroll and her husband (the owners). Missed the pancakes though so will have to come back for that. The surrounding area is a bit rundown and may look unsafe if you were walking alone at night (Niagara Falls at night are stunning!). Suggest go with a friend.
A very basic accommodation but the most amazing thing about this place is its location. Just a skip, a hop, and a jump away from the madness of Times Square! Also having only 2 roommates in the 'dorm' makes it as private as a hotel room. Things to improve on: provide breakfast and provide WiFi throughout the premise. There's not much space to socialise within the hostel but with so many options around, this might feel redundant.
The location, which is right in front of Pike's Place Market, is unbeatable! The beds come with curtains, affording privacy and they also have personalised lamp and fan! My only complaint about the beds is the top bunk is sky high, almost challenging the Space Needle. WiFi should also be made available in the rooms. They offer superb breakfast too despite the first Starbucks being just around the corner (no contest if you're a cheapskate.)
Our stay was too brief to capitalise on its many organised activities although judging from the looks of things, they're plenty informative and fun. Fred was amazing as a host. The night is buzzing and the location is A+! The major grouse is the location of the shower; one has to cross a busy bar with people having breakfast with a bedhead and a woolly mouth! Not the best time to be seen defo. Wifi+personal lamp would be great additions.
There's a lovely atmosphere about the place although this was marred by subpar toilet/shower facility (no hot water and toilet rolls!), no heating in the room (although the blanket was nice), no Internet, and abysmal breakfast. Location isn't bad; ask the cab to take you to La Kasbah and it's easy to find this place from there. The wedding was a nice touch to the experience.
Really amazing hospitality!
A very young hostel with lots of potential!
Definitely one of the best hostels in the Oceania region!
This was the best hostel I've stayed in so far. Would definitely come back again in the future.
Plus Florence is a decent hostel with commendable facilities. Would defo suggest to anyone who's headed for Florence.
