Casa verde is one of the best hostels I have ever stayed. You really can't ask for anything else in a hostel. It's clean, well equipped, and has a ton of 'extras' that make it such good value. Do not hesitate to book here!!!
PROS: location (close to metro, cheap food, Lama & Confucius temple, Lugou alley, & ghost street). 'Public shower' for those who want to shower before a late flight. Free breakfast (toast, fruit, tea)! CONS: The common area is WAY to small for the size of the hostel. There is seating for less than 10 people. The staff are friendly but seemed to lack knowledge about the city and often gave info that didn't hold true (not on purpose of course but frustrating nonetheless).
The owner is super helpful and friendly!!!
The hostel was nice but a bit difficult to find. The owner was VERY kind but just spoke limited english. The eggs and real coffee for breakfast was definitely a welcomed bonus!
It was difficult to find but his directions are really good. We asked him to to tell our fortune (like it says he does) and he declined. The hostel is actually his apartment and he turned his two spare bedrooms into dorm rooms so you just stay at his place with him. It felt awkward at first but you get used to it.
The hostel was nice and well organized. The staff was hit or miss on helpfulness. The location was really out of the way, however, as far as I can tell, its the cheapest dorm bed in Seoul!
