Hidden treasure in Auckland. Very clean and organized hostel; rooms are large and comfortable, and quite silent. There is a locker room with camera, laundry room, a big kitchen, TV and leisure rooms and a terrace. It's located in the back of a building, so there is very little street noise coming. It's a few blocks away from SkyTower and just beside Queen St. Internet included, but breakfast not. Bathroom and showers located in a large piece. Highly recommended!

Very clean and organized hostel, looks like a hotel. Beds are comfortable; kitchen is big; there is an outside space for barbecue. Showers and toilets were also great, but there could be more of them. Location is 5-10min walking from the lakeside, but that's not a problem since walking in Te Anau is really nice. Very few car activity in the streets, hostel is very quiet during the night. Breakfast and internet were not included, however.

Staff was very friendly and the highlight of the hostel. Location is 5min walking from downtown, but they have dedicated parking lot, very useful for those who are driving. The are two kitchens, clean and organized. Breakfast was not included but internet was free. Room and beds were ok, with little street noise. There are lockers for each person, with charger inside it, genial idea. Lots of space for leisure and socializing. Definitely one of the best hostels I stayed in NZ.

Chateau Franz Backpackers

Not the best hostel I stayed in NZ. Kitchen is not clean, neither are showers and toilets (probably because they are not enough for all the people). The LoveShack is separated from other building, therefore quiet; I'm not sure about the other ones. Staff was not very helfpul giving information about reservations and tours. Good points is that internet is free and breakfast was included (rare in NZ), although very simple (just cereal and toasts). Good option if you are in a tight budget.

Jailhouse Accommodation

Christchurch, New Zealand

Very big and cool hostel, in an ancient jail, with lots of facilities like TV room, kitchen, living rooms, etc. TV and leisure rooms are separated, rooms are quite quiet. Bed is regularly comfortable. Staff was quite nice, got me a free shuttle for the train station. BTW, location of the hostel is good for taking the train, but regular for visiting downtown. Internet is paid, but you can go to burguer king nearby to get free wifi. As usual in NZ, breakfast not included.

Very well placed hostel and good valur for money. On the other hand, rooms received sun all the day, which made them extremely hot. Mattresses are uncomfortable and there could be more bathroooms/showers for the amount of people in the hostel. Kitchen was disorganized and not very clean. Some rooms have doors directly to the TV room, noise can be an issue. Security is ok since hostel and room access is controled. If going by car, there are few free parking spots nearby, all in the street.

Stayed in a private room, which is very large and has private bathroom too, very practical (although the shower drain was a little bit clogged). It's possible to hear people talking and slide-doors been opened from other rooms. Staff is very friendly and can help a lot with reservations of the tours and attractions. Three bad points: reception is not 24h, internet is not free and breakfast is not included, but that seems to be the reality of most hostels in NZ. Overall strongly recommended!

extremely good location, close to the beach but not in a main street where the noise would be too high. They have individual lockers and each person has a key of the room and of the main door, which seems relatively safe. There only 3 people in the 6-people dorm, but if it's full the single bathroom would be a problem.

good location,10-15 min from several strategic points (Red Square, Lubianka and Kitai Gorod). No lockers and breakfast. Rooms are big and clean. Only 1 shower for everyone, must be annoying if the hostel is full. And when I arrived at 8:30 (very likely to arrive at that moment if you take the overnight train from St pet) there was no staff, a guest opened me the door. Resuming, if you care about price and location, a very nice place. But to know people and party, look for another

not the largest, but the most complete hostel i've ever stayed in. Almost evrything included in the price : lockers, laundry, breakfast, internet, phone calls. Only 3 or 4 rooms and a large living room. Location is good, just beside the railway station. But the best is the staff : a gorupe of 4 or 5, who are always there (they even have a room for them!). Very sympathetic, they can give lots of suggestions, gather people for a pub crawn, or juste talk with the guests. REALLY recommend !!!

Backpackers BCN Casanova

The only bad point is the price (20 euros, though not a lot for this city). Rooms and hostel are very clean, the kitchen is great and huge. Staff is very friendly and even watch TV with the guests. The other bad point is the absence of commum area (the only one is the reception, with the TV, but quite small and loud must be limited after 10PM). Strong point : location (you can go in 15 by foot to Plaza Catalunya, or go by subway in 2 stations).

Good location inside old town (but in valencia you will have to take public transportation anyway...). The hostel and the rooms are quite small but very clean and organised (bathroom in the room). Breakfast is included but limited per person. The staff is ok except the guy who stays in early morning (Very rude). Definitely not suitable for parties and drinking with others.

I really liked the hostel but it has some inconvenients. Staff is not the best (took 5 minutes to be answered as the guy was chating in the reception, and in the early check out at 7:30 they were quite rude). But the location is not bad (but not exceptional, 5-10 min from Pl. Nueva), breakfast is included, rooms are big and with small kitchen and bathroom. Lots of activities and commum space for those looking for party.

Funky Cordoba

The only bad point is that breakfast is not included (but in the same building there is a bar not at all expensive). The place is very well placed, near the Mesquita Cathedral, staff is awesome (friendly, with good suggestions of tours, restaurants, bars and everything else). Every room has its own bathroom but no individual lockers. There is a terrace is the top, which is a good commum area to meet people. Strongly recommend.

not a single bad point. Perfect location, 3 minutes from the cathedral. The hostel and the rooms are big, there are individual lockers. Breakfast is included but not exceptional, and the commum area is nice, they have a big TV. Tours and activities are offered every day. Staff is very friendly and ready to help you with your plans to visit the city!

RC Miguel Angel

the best of this hostel is the location, just beside Porta del Sol (just perfect). There are individual lockers, breakfast is included (although not terrific), and security is a strong point. In the other hand, there is no commum area at all, so if you want to meet people, chat, make parties, go to an other place definitely. If you just look for a place to sleep, it\'s the best choice!

Hostel Helvetia

Perfect location, just between the royal way to the castle and the Nowy street with all the bars and restaurants. Very friendly staff, you even have breakfast and talk a lot with them. Lots of spacefull rooms, each one with lockers. Breakfast included, but internet not (although 1zl for 15 minutes is nothing, hehe). Really recommend!

Flamingo Hostel

first hostel I note 100%. Very good location, just beside the main square. Friendly staff, who show you the hostel in the arrival and answer all kinds of question. Breakfast just fine but included. Rooms comfortable, with lockers and small lights to each bed. Everything very clean and organised. Internet included. Really recommend it, couldnt be better.

good location, in front of the tramway to Vigeland park and of the bus to Bygdoy. Rooms ok, with private showers and lockers. Very friendly staff that provide lots of information. Breakfast is a little expensive but is All-you-can-eat in the restaurant beside. I recommend !

Eurohostel

very good quality, more of a hotel than a hostel (including the price, a bit expensive). The 2-people private rooms are very big, enough even for 3. The location is very good, a few meters from the tramway and less than 10 minutes from the viking line port from stockholm. Free sauna in the early morning is very nice! They could offer free breakfast for the price they charge.

Hostel Gamla Stan

Stockholm, Sweden

very good hostel in an extremely good location in the old town (gamla stan). Not far from the subway and the boat to the museums. Staff is very friendly and provide lots of information. The rooms are of good size, the bathrooms are clean and they even offer free pasta in the kitchen! Internet is also free. Just dont forget to bring your linen, otherwise you\'ll have to pay extra. REally recommend!

Castle Rock Hostel

Edinburgh, Scotland

extremely good location, just a few steps from the castle and royal mile. Large rooms, good beds (dont make noise, very rare!), the staff is very kind. They propose lots of tours in scotland. Security is a high point, as anyone who enters has to show a card to the reception. And each bed has a locker and a safe. The only bad point is that breakfast is not included (2pounds), but you can get a reduction in a bar just beside the hostel, so finally ok!

Four Courts Hostel

Dublin, Ireland

Good points: location not bad, but not awesome (10 minutes from the bars of Temple Bar and downtown). Rooms ok, with lots of space and some lockers under the bed. Just beside the stop of one of the airport buses bad points: Very little space in the showers, far from the Main street of dublin in general, I would recommend this hostel, as the price is very competitive

very well placed hostel, near kings cross (1 station) and covent garden (2 or 3 stations, dont remember). Good security with the magnetic keys to enter the room. Only the showers are a little difficult to find, but are also ok. Recommend!

very good location, just beside a subway station. And this station is the next after Kings Cross, so if you are coming by Eurostar, it really helps! Good security, avec magnetic cards to open room and commom doors. Staff very symphatetic. In general, very clean. Breakfast included, nice! The only thing that really bad are the showers, which are only in the basement. So you will always have to go down lots of stairs to reach it. And the lockers are paid, 1,50 pounds. The only

very good location, just besides the cathedral. The only problem is the breakfast which is too expensive (9euros/ person); thus, we didnt take it in the hotel.
