Hostel & Guest House SA

This is a very good hostel. It is very good value for money compared to other Sarajevo hostels - it has free wifi, a stunning view over the city, is quiet but still also sociable, and still very near to the centre. More importantly it is a unique opportunity to learn more about the history of Sarajevo. The historical tour they offer is amazing, a chance to ask the owner, a war veteran, about his experiences in the siege. Definitely stay here if you can

Hostel Heart of Sarajevo

This place is fine I guess if you want somewhere literally right in the centre. However it could have been cleaner and was pretty noisy, the wall between the main dorm and the reception was paper thin. The staff were perfectly nice but their advice wasn't great, like saying that basically everything was closed on Sunday when that turned out to not be true at all. The next night we stayed somewhere much better and for less money as well

A very good hostel, staff are super helpful, location is absolutely fine as well. Rooms are nice, clean, air con, bathrooms are fine although could be a little bigger for the mens but there are really very few negatives about this place of any significance

Generally this hostel was quite good, it had a lot of positives like a great location and air con in the rooms. The staff were helpful and gave out some free stuff like rakija on arrival and some popcorn in the evening and things like that. The problem is that it is not worth paying £30 a night for this place, as you expect it to be better than most for that money. Of course you have to pay more to stay in the old town, but the level of noise and a few other things meant it could be much better

Owner Comment (Hide)
Thanks for your comments. We appreciate all feedback. As we are one of the only hostels in the Old Town in a quiet residential area (i.e. close to everything but away from all the bars and crowds), we're surprised that you had problems with noise. It's usually very quiet (almost too quiet) in our neighbourhood. Da dum. Da dum. Da dum. Has anyone watched JAWS?

This was generally a good hostel, the location is actually a lot nearer the centre than you think, the kitchen facilities were very good, it was perfectly clean and the staff were quite helpful and friendly. The price was good, although one negative would be that it was very quiet when we were there, even though it was summer and so there wasn't much atmosphere, however this is hardly the fault of the hostel.

This small hostel was a nice place to stay in Pula, it was a bit like staying in somebody's house, and indeed at times we had the place completely to ourselves. Despite that there was a nice lounge so meeting people was fine. There were very good safe-type lockers to put stuff in so there was no issue there. Also it had air con which was good and the staff were helpful and recommended great local pllaces to eat and were willing to book taxis etc.

Wombats City Hostel Berlin

IWombats always have very high standards, the staff are amazing, and the location is ideal, next to a metro station. The bar is also very good, with a great view. However, after an incident we had staying there, they do need to review their security, despite it not being directly their fault. They could do with having more secure lockers, and making sure that people give accurate information when they arrive by checking passports. The staff were brilliant though, and really looked after us
