This is the nicest hostel I've ever stayed it. The staff is very friendly and helpful, remembers to follow up on things, knows your name, will ask you about your day. Can help you organize trips and make plans. The space is beautifully decorated- there is a large communal kitchen with everything you need, and two lounges, more like a chic home than a hostel. The dorms were great, thought put into everything, there are lights for each bunch, extra blankets, towels, outlets, lockers. Love my stay!

The City Stay is pretty nice, a great location, a social environment (cheap drinks at the bar!), its a little lacking in character but the rooms are clean. However the shared bathrooms are gross... there's no soap in the rooms with toilets/sinks and there's no curtain or bench in the shower and the water doesnt drain well. Plus some of the washrooms with sinks smelled like urine... bring sandals if you stay here. I would recommend this place only if you had a private room and bathroom
Wombats Munich is the best hostel I've stayed in; it has lots of character and it's very social but its also very professional- clean and secure! Some of the staff were very helpful, but there were a few cranky ones, beware! Be sure to hit the Wombar, good drink specials and food prices! If you go to Munich you HAVE to stay at Wombats! (or at least go for happy hour!)
It's nice but it looks better in the pictures. It lacks character, and its not a very social hostel if that's what you're looking for. Also we stayed on the 6th floor and there was no elevator...
