Monteverde Hostel Lodge

The hostel itself is set in the jungle and has a great location in the town only 2mins walk to the supermarket and bus stop. The only drawback was the prices we were quoted were not what we ended up paying on the tours were charged more. Trip advisor stated in the list of facilities that breakfast was included, this wasn't true. But our stay was amazing in our very clean and lovely room.

I hate giving a bad review but unfortunately after 3sleepless nights i have to. Room 5 is the 5bed dorm on the second floor right beside the bar and every night they play stupidly loud music. I like to party but when your planning on getting up at 7am to cycle to the ruin the house or trance music can get a little old. I complained to the reception the first morning asking did it have to be do loud. The next night i asked the DJ to turn it down his response was "the manager wants its loud"

Absolutely loved it here, the staff were friendly and helpful, the pool was amazing with its hammocks hanging over to relax and soak your feet at the same time Just heaven after a day of sight seeing. The people are friendly and this place had a great vibe. Loved all the activities the hostel planned, salsa, yoga cooking classes, i must say Daniel the chef was a pleasure to learn from. Great hostel, nice size kitchen and lots of areas to relax in a hammocks.

This is a serious Party hostel with everything that you would need to accommodate your party needs!! Location was ok its about a 5minute walk from bus station. The small dinner you get in the evening is delicious and a great way to meet everyone in the hostel, breakfast is good too. Dorm room has 16beds and not 12 like advertised but is a large space so you dont feel crowded and lots of windows so feels airy but the noise level from partiers coming in gets very loud.

This hostel is right in the center of this vibrant lovely town less than 5mins walk for beautiful beaches. The hostel is small and really feels like a home from home. It has friendly staff with geat ideas on where to go, see and eat. The room we got had a terrace which was really great, the room had loads of room even for the messiest of travelers and was cleaned every day. Overall had an amazing experience here...if your looking for a fun hostel with great staff and excellent location its here.

Showers n bathrooms were always dirty some had no tiles n the drains smelt. The kitchen area is ok someone comes and cleans the dishes left over at the end of theday but they can be there all day. Cockroaches were the worst, dead under my bed and running along da floor and walls. The neighbourhood is quite dodgy very unsavory characters hang out on the street across the road. If u intend on booking this hotel research kings cross first.

There are rooms that are nicer than others and we had a large group staying and the accomadation is scattered across a couple of buildings but is in the same street. The staf were really friendly and helpfull. The hostel itself is just off the royal mile close to great pubs and clubs.
