Big Fish Budapest Hostel

Nicely decorated home feeling hostel with good facilities and nice spacious rooms with constant WI-FI. Free coffee with nice communal kitchen area to cook up meals. Staff were really accommodating and helpful, even after having to put up with all sorts remained warm and fun people :) They helped book transport and bike hire, and even helped to me wake up at a ridiculous time to catch my flight (I'd of missed it otherwise). Would recommend to anybody visiting Budapest. Appreciated ya'll x

I'm afraid the fact that its an old hotel really showed along with a few other factors you should consider. Atmosphere zero. Rooms stunk of damp (no air con- air flow). Checked into room where sheets and duvet not clean or changed. CONSTANT intermittent Wi-Fi with no empathy from the staff. Backs onto a narrow street with prostitutes outside. Might suit some BUT If you are a single traveler give this hostel a wide berth. Felt more like an airport departure lounge than a hostel :(

Staff were very helpful and fun people to hang out with. Facilities were cleaned every few hours. Location was good, beautiful building to stay in. Pub crawl was entertaining and even staff joined in to add extra atmosphere. Thanks for everything x Shaun

Basic, clean double room. Shower was dangerously hot. First night in NYC, would have stayed for next two days just based on the cost $90 not too bad.
