wifi hardly ever worked. 10min walk from shopping mall with cheap groceries, internet cafe, good restaurants. pretty far from anything touristy in Harare - need to take a combi or bike. 12 person dorm is in an old garage of the house. bathroom inside with tub is best one. try to get room in back if want quiet as people seem to come and go with their cars at all hours of night and can hear the gate open/close in front rooms. no maps offered or help booking activities. Wild is Life def recommended
stayed one night and was only one in 12 person dorm; bed nets are nice; def not the party hostel and good hike from town - 20min walk. showers were kind you have to hold up the head on your own. staff super helpful and will help organize activities. good wifi but they charge and breakfast not included. Livingstone, Zambia is much cheaper and would recommend to stay, book activities, and to see the falls. EVERYTHING is cheaper on Zam side; just get full view of main falls on Zim side - I did both
I had 4 bed dorm to myself - it was never serviced once. bathrooms could be cleaner but overall cleanliness good. wifi is weak and mainly only works in lounge where music is usually too loud but off before most go to bed. staff pretty friendly and can book all activities through them. I like how it is across the street from ATMs and a cheap grocery store. stayed 3 nights and only made it back one day for 3pm pancakes which are no more than a light snack. would stay again. Livingstone cheaper Zim

good balance of party place and place to sleep. only bad thing if get room next to main road it is very noisy! really easy to meet cool people and the staff are super friendly and helpful. lots of organized tours, parties, and football matches! wifi is not so great and only 3 computers to use for free but always busy. great location in center of BA but make sure you learn how to pronounce the street name (it was very difficult for me!) good rotation of parties at this hostel and other Millhouse.
would recommend stay in Miraflores instead of Barranco as more central. this is "fake" party hostel if that is what you are looking for. stayed 3 nights and most nights nothing going on in hostel despite hostel bar´s attempts to organize drinking games, etc. 2 free internet computers are nice and hostel cafe is decent food but good value for money. few cabs I got in did not know where the hostel was and I had to direct them or they did not want to go as far as Barranco neighborhood to hostel.
this is party hostel on beach. great pool, lot of fun activities day/night run by hostel. food is good too and drinks cheap. if you like a hostel where you never have to leave, this can be one of those places. also hub for Israelis so if you travel a lot you know what that means. staff so-so helpful. lockers in rooms is nice with outlets. bathroom and rooms not the cleaness. also everynight music stays blaring till least 3 or 4am so hard to sleep if try to go to bed early.
only stayed one night, not even half a day in Cali. was hoping to learn salsa before taking long bus ride to Quito, Ecuador. staff not helpful at all. mind you I was there on a Sunday on Mother´s Day so the town was dead (bit of bad luck) but heard Cali is cracking on weekends, only. town is bad for sightsee. no famous Pelican Leary BBQ on Sunday for some reason, guess need enough people to sign up. wifi only works in lobby and charge for 2 computers on site. overall expected much more.
if you want a quite, chilled out place around gorgeous scenary/nature then this is the place for you. 15 min walk to center of town, extremely dark at night. unbelievable breakfast and home cooked dinners. all staff are volunteer travelers. lot of films in their collection. great recommendations for coffee farm visits in Solento. attracts great crowd of trusthworthy and cool people from around the world. great atmosphere and place to relax and enjoy nature. private cottages also available.
pretty clean except for small ant problem we had in our room that never got fully fixed, though the hostel made good efforts to rectify. kind of far (about 15 min walk up-hill) to nearest Poblado metro station. close to nightlife in Zona Rosa and Parque Llearas. very laid back atmosphere and people, staff included. staff really helpful about researching bus times and places to go in Medellin. free breakfast every morning is decent but place across street has amazing coffee and good food.
4-bed dorm kind of tight squeeze for 4 but overall great room, hostel slightly on expensive side but really clean, bathroom/shower nice!, great location right next to main train station easy for getting around city and both main airport. also have cheap good breakfast though I did not have. 20-25 min walk to central gate
overall good, manageable for 2 nights, location 5 min walk from center up/down hills but close enough, bathrooms had hot showers, only one toliet but manageable, £2 breakfast is worth it to fill up on toast/crossants and coffee, would stay here again
best location, 1 block away from main street with pubs/resturants just up one big hill but whole city is hilly, free breakfast is really good and worth getting up before 9:30 for, cleanliness is not the best but easily manageable for few nights, we were in underground room, hot shower, heaters in room work just give them few mins to heat up, would stay here again mainly because of location, breakfast, and good value for money
best location you will find in Copenhagen, 10 min walk to center, not a true hostel environment as more like a hotel, people I met were not that social, does have happy hour drink prices all day and live music Friday night, cleanliness was good just overall not most social place
