Green Track Hostel

Iquitos, Peru
51%

firstly, one of the staff members Deborah was very helpful, trying to get us onto the tour we wanted and doing everthing she could to help us out. Other tan that this hostel has nothing going for it. It advertises air conditioning but this is only the case for the dormitories, the showers on the top floor dribble a little water if any at all and the whole place needs a good clean. dont rely on the included breakfast as it is stale bread and old fruit.

Dear, We do advertise A/C on the dorms, and you booked a room without it, but we did give to you a room with four beds ( only for you 2) and didnt charge any extra, you should mention that as well. Regarsds the shower we already change it and Im sorry for your description of the breakfast, we have a very generous breakfast from 07:30- 11:00, with fresh bread, cofee, tea, fruit jam, milk and fresh fruits, sometimes 2 types. And the hostel is very very clean and we kep your luggage for free for the all tiime you were away

The owner of this place is a champion and makes you feel very welcome and comfortable straight away. He explains and helps with everything. The place is very clean and has a good enough kitchen for most people. I highly recommend this hostel, not for a party though. Thanks for everything

Good hostel with all the things backpackers need. It's very clean and a few minutes walk from the main square. The only bad thing was the beds sagged a lot, maybe they're not all like that but I hope he looks into a mattress upgrade. All in all a good hostel

great hostel really. just weird that they charge you for bed linen and also weird that only 1 shower has a door (please just get some shower curtains atleast) you have to pay for wifi but there is 1 free computer which is a bit backwards to what we're used to. kitchen is great and everything is very clean!!

starting with the good things..... ummmm free wi-fi and next to a tube station. now for the down side. the place pretty much stinks like homeless people which there seem to be an a lot of, there is no kitchen they should take that off the list. it's just a microwave. bathrooms seemed to be never very clean. i would pretty much rather punch my nan in the head than stay here again (and she's a bloody good nan). look in the end just find another hostel there is a lot to choose from.

cant really ask for much more. the views from this hostel are awesome, plus zio and his family are extremely helpful. but catch the bus #3 up because the steps are a bit too much with a pack. the directions need a slight ajustment ( walk back along the road like it says but at the 2nd yellow sign on the right. you'll see a small parking lot with red spray paint on it. there is a gate right there and some steps to go down to zio's place) you won't regret it.

the only good thing about this hostel is it has air con. otherwise it is too crammed (we had 12 people in what was supposed to be a 10 bed dorm). make sure Meri doesn't keep your passport, get it back off her straight away, she is not a nice person. i hope Meri fixes the directions to the hostel because they are really bad. goodluck!

we've stayed in alot of backpackers and we're aussies that hate to complain but this place is the worst by a long way. the owner will always try to get more money out of you than what you've already booked for too. it's bearable to use as a toilet though.
