Vaianny Guest House

Easter Island, Chile
86%

We had a vey enjoyable stay at Vaianny. Central location, friendly and helpful staff, excellent kitchen facilities and comfortable rooms. Easter Island is not the cheapest place to visit or stay, but Vaianny made things both economical and easy for us. We rented a car from the hostel for a few days, which was cheaper than the main street providers too.

Hostal Candelaria

San Pedro de Atacama, Chile

We found the hostel to be a very welcoming and helpful place to stay in the San Pedro. It's about a 10 minute walk from the touristy part of town, but the owners went out of their way to help us out. Our room was fine, but the hot water in the showers takes a bit of fiddling to get the pressure right. The courtyard was a pleasant place to hang, with plenty of kitten watching for entertainment. Great breakfasts.

Cruz de los Andes

La Paz, Bolivia

This is a very reasonable place to stay in the centre of La Paz. It's within walking distance of most attractions and the staff are happy to help with your needs. They gave some good tips on how to find our way around, including accessing tickets for a local derby between La Paz's top 2 soccer teams. Hot water in the showers is always a welcome find!

A good option close to the centre of town. We had a few issues with consistent hot water supply but once fixed it was fine.

HI Paudimar Campestre

Foz do Iguacu, Brazil

If you're only interested in visiting the falls, this is a great place. It is decidedly out of town, but the falls can be reached via a shuttle bus to the main road, and an easy local bus to the falls. There were only a few guests there when we stayed in June, but the staff were very helpful in all regards. The surrounding area is very rural - the site looks like it is set up for larger groups. Food and facilities all good.
