Antares Hostel

OK hostel, the rooms were outdated, but clean. We did not use the kitchen, but there was a note saying that it could not be used for hygienic reasons. Then what's the point in promoting having a kitchen, which is often valued with backpackers? Social events at the hostel, central location but not a great street. Just by the train station and shopping street, 15 min walk from the beach. Because it was very outdated an it was overpriced and bad value for money. Slow wi-fi.

A cosy and central hotel within walking distance from the beautiful Old Town, Vieux Lyon, and local shopping area. Right next to the train/bus station Perrache. Located on a central street but still very quiet. Most staff spoke English and was very helpful. The room and bathroom was clean and up to date, with a tasteful slightly personal style. Air conditioned, but a bit enclosed because of poor ventilation.

Chill House

Good in general, but as it was really cold while we were there (5 degrees celsius), there could be more heating available. The floors could be cleaner too, and they could invest in new sheets (they were no longer white). The staff was extremely nice and helpful, we had access to computers with free internet, as well as wi-fi. The kitchen was not the most clean, but no one is forcing you to cook there, nor eat their breakfast, which was poor in our opinion. We recommend this hostel.
