Wonderful place. Reception was very flexible as to us arriving at 3AM and leaving at 4AM two days later. The common room is vast, with many things to do and people to meet. Wah, the owner, and his staff were all very informative and friendly. Especially recommended for a quick entry and exit to/from KL at odd hours. Well connected to every part of the city from KL Sentral. Would stay here again.

We felt both blessed and slightly disadvantaged, arriving just a few days before the start of the festival of Galungan. The staff/family was quite involved in preparations and did not really notice us, which ordinarily is fine, but we were hoping to see and understand more about Balinese culture. Nor was there a common area to meet other travellers, which would have been nice. The rooms were really nice and private, and for once we didn't have to shower next to the toilet which was a big plus.

The location of this hostel is good. It is a quiet and peaceful place and at the same time close to the main road with al the restaurants. A small road with cheap local supermarkets and a good little warung is only a few steps away. We loved the beautiful garden and our own little balcony. The breakfast was good, we even had a choice between three different kinds of breakfast. The staff was friendly, some where more helpfull than others. We didn't liked the cockroaches in our bathroom though.

We found the staff to be self-involved and keen to watch Siberian soap operas at loud volume. When confronted with bed bugs, they did spring into action and offer us a different room - which had the same problem. By then, they appeared to have run out of steam and we slept with vigilence. The room has no windows and both the rooms were not clean when we visited, so the presence of bed bugs really shouldn't have surprised us. The location was okay, but the room was definitely too expensive.
