The room was excellent quality for an Indian hotel and was also quite nicely decorated with a modern feel. Despite what other reviewers have said, the staff were very nice and helpful. The location is good being on the main road in Anjuna and about a 20 minute walk from the beach. If you are looking to save money you can get a pretty good discount by not getting the A/C remote for the room (non-A/C room). Excellent value overall.

Old Town Hostel Stockholm

Stockholm, Sweden

This place was absolutely riddled with bed bugs. There so many that you could find them even with the lights on in the day. When we comained they moved us to a different room but then proceeded to put new people in our old room! Part of the problem is that they charge so much extra for sheets which increases the chance of people bringing their own sleeping bags in. The place is fairly stylish but has a poor atmosphere, is very dark and gloomy, and doesn't have sufficient bathroom facilities

Very nice hostel in an excellent location. Adequate kitchen but had to wait sometimes to use the bathroom as only two in the hostel with one having a shower. Many stairs to walk up which may be an issue if you have a suitcase. We found Irina to be especially friendly and helpful.

Very good location and atmosphere as we met a lot of nice friendly travellers here. Adequate kitchen and bathrooms were okay. We had mosquitos in our room at night which kept us awake. The German staff member was really helpful and friendly too especially as we had lost luggage at the airport and she helped us with calling them.

Hostel Blues

Lovely hostel with excellent staff and friendly atmosphere. Lockers and swipe card access for rooms. Kitchen was good but a bit small for the amount of guests ( it was Saturday night and very full). A great location and staff extremely helpful with maps, what to do and what to eat in Bratislava. Internet was very slow (unusable) at times. Highly recommend.

Booked this hostel as very cheap and was quite good. Nice big dorm rooms with mixed bunks and single beds. Wifi only in reception area. Very clean. Did not have breakfast here. Linen was charged at €3 per person so bring own if you can. Good spot next to train station but about a 15 minute walk into town. Staff were friendly but atmosphere lacking due to large size, no kitchen and quick turnaround of guests.

Lovely new but very big hostel in a good location. Great kitchen. Very clean. Internet regularly wouldn't connect. Single beds and good lockers expect lots of keys which was a little bit annoying. Overall would recommend based on price.

Camp Vodenca

Bovec, Slovenia

This is an empty tent. You need your own matts, sleeping bags and pillows! We didn't realise this but Šasa lent us some matts which was okay. It is a great camping ground with excellent facilities (for a camping ground). There are no lockers, however, the hire tents are close to reception which is occupied until 8pm and it is out of town so no random passers by. Although it is a little out of town there is a path that goes over the field from the church and only takes about 15 minutes to walk.

This is probably the best location in Bohinj. We were on the top floor and had a spectacular view from our balcony. Breakfast does not get topped up so come early if you want the full selection. Staff were very nice. Wifi only at reception. Safe in room for valuables. Excellent value for money

This place is very cheap but is a long walk from the city centre and train/bus station. They say it is 2km but is actually 3km and takes half an hour at a fast pace. The atmosphere downstairs wasn't great. Staff are behind a glass door in their office which feels a bit like a bank window. There is no outdoor area either. There are also no lockers and rooms don't self lock. Having said that, everything was very clean and the kitchen and bathrooms are very good. Good if you want to save money.

Really nice place with very helpful and friendly staff. We had a private room that was very spacious, clean and nicely decorated. We could see the water from our room through a gap in the buildings over the road. It is about a 15 minute walk from the old town. It is a very clean and nice place but there isn't much of a social atmosphere if you want to meet new people.

Hostel Mostel

There are two different buildings that are less than a block from each other. We stayed in the one which is seperate to reception and main common area but this was fine. The girl that checked us in was great and gave us lots of information about Sofia and Bansko where we were going skiing for the next week. The common area is well laid out and a really good place for relaxing on the couches. Don't be fooled by the steel gate and lack of signs when you get there, there is a nice building behind..

I wouldn't say Travellers Home is strictly a hostel. A wonderful guy named Såndor rents out several different apartments (I think he said 5). When we arrived Såndor picked us up from the apartment we were meant to stay and upgraded us to a place closer into the centre of Pest. The apartment was in a perfect location in the Jewish quarter and was really secure and nice with one other room. Såndor personally took us through all the things to do, drew them on a map and wrote us a list.

I have stayed at many hostels and this one is up there with the best. The staff here are absolutely amazing, especially Mick who runs the place. They are all really friendly, will hang out with everyone as they live there and keep the place really clean. If you're looking for a place to stay in Oxford then look no further. You won't regret it. Also, if you are staying for a week or more there are really reasonable weekly rates.

This is a hotel rather than a hostel but is quite nice and clean in a good location. If you are a couple you should know that the 'double' bed is actually two single beds pushed together with separate bedding.

Hospedaria So Filipe

This is a hotel rather than a hostel but is clean and in a pretty good location. The rooms have a real double bed rather than two singles. It is very close to the bus station. No kitchen facilities but a nice restaurant nearby. No lockers in room and you have to give your room key to reception when you go out. Wifi in rooms. Good for some privacy if you're been doing shared dorms for a while. Good value for money.

Gold Coast

Lagos, Portugal

The staff there will bend over backwards for you. Arthur sat us down when we got there for about 20 minutes and told us everything we needed to know about Lagos. The location is really good as it is on the side of town near the beaches. The room we had was quite stuffy and got pretty hot at night (only 1 tiny window).

Yes! Lisbon Hostel

These guys just know how to do it all right. From little things like a small shelf with two power points at each bed, curtains for bottom bunks, lockers under the beds that use the same card as the door and great kitchen to wonderful staff that will do anything for you and cheap meals at the hostel every night. Free walking tour with the girl from Porto (sorry we have forgotten your name...) was great.

Sofia Chill House

Coimbra, Portugal
73%

Small hostel which is a great place if you like going out as the staff there will party with you and are very friendly. The only thing that let it down was the security. Each dorm room was left open, the lockers they provided were so flimsy that you could just pull them open even if they were locked (only three lockers for a dorm room of 7) and they didn't have enough front door keys for all the guests. If you are pretty relaxed and want a university share house feel you might love it.

Felt a bit like a school camp. Had to push the button on the shower to keep it going every 5 seconds or so. Knees hit the wall when sitting on the toilet. Staff weren't friendly at all. The place also had significant building works going on at the time so it was quite noisy and there were builders walking around the hostel all the time. Lockers in the rooms were good. One powerpoint near the door for 12 people was really annoying.

Really good location. You get an electronic key pass that gets you into the main area, into your room and opens your own locker in your room. The lockers are pretty big which is really good. It is a good hostel if you want to meet people and party as there is a really good common room with a bar and music downstairs. Now for the bad bits... The staff aren't very friendly and don't seem to want to be there. When we were there the place was undergoing fairly substantial renovations so there were builders w
