Youthhostel Zermatt

Family hostel, lots of kids.Stayed in 8 bed dorm with slanted ceilings. Bunk beds are small and too close together. Lights out at 10pm (strict) because everyone is tired from hiking and activities during the day, somewhat frustrating. Big lockers in room. Recommended to eat at their cafeteria because Zermatt restos are very expensive. No staff member on duty in lobby from 10am - 4pm to 'save money', yet staff roam the building in case. Up a hill, be ready for small climb, but nice view.

Perfect Hostel

Paris, France

You walk up to the hostel and think 'oh boy, this place looks sketchy'. Main lobby / dinning area is average at best. But staff were helpful (not something you always get in Paris). Rooms are cleaned everyday. Stayed in a 4 bed room, lockers in room with sink. Very small pillow provided. Very poor kitchen facilities, no stove (!!??). Had to share one toilet and 2 showers with the whole floor, yet no line ups. Breakfast is free but small. 2 minutes from Metro. Grocery store 20 steps away.

Location was excellent and staff was very friendly, but the room and facilities left much to be desired. Bed was two mattresses on the floor, with no furniture to put anything on. Sheets were very worn with pills and stains (this problem occurred in both rooms we stayed in). Internet was impossible to connect to, no signal in our room. T
